I recently picked up a toy lot in which I spotted something that looked a bit like Gardian robot #2. I thought it was the Machine Robo Baikanfu, but I've since scoped out Ed's pics of the Baikanfu and this isn't it!
I now have the toy, but am unable to post pics at the moment. Basically, it is exactly the same as Gardian Robot #2, right down to weight, die-cast content, and color, but it has a red head that's a totally different mold, closely resembling the #3 robot's head. Inside is a #1 robot that is exactly the same as Gardian's #1 robot, but in yellow and white.
I believe this version didn't have a #3 robot, because even though #1 and #2 still have the die-cast molded Gardian numbers on their backs, #2 (medium robot) has a sticker on the front that says "Decept I" and #1 (smallest robot) has one that says "Decept II". Also, "Decept I" (modified Gardian #2)'s modified head will not fit inside Gardian #3.
I can find no manufacturer markings on this. The lot only contained American Transformers and Japanese Machine Robos, otherwise, so this may have been a pre-Baikanfu Machine Robo?
Any idea what I have, here?

I saw that yellow bot too. I think it is a bootleg and either Italian or Taiwanese in orgin. You'll notice that there is absolutely NO end to variations and bootlegs.... They keep on coming.

It's SOME bootleg, then. The paint and plastic quality exceed that of the Taiwanese Gardian I just recently acquired, and even that was impressive! I was sure this guy had to be the real thing, but since I can't find any manufacturer markings, maybe you're right.
