Saw one of Getta Robo in a store window the other day. Looks like 1.5' Jumbo Machinder sort of toy with far better detail. Apparently, they've got one for Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger too. Anyone know anything about them?

They are the Robots made by Marmit. In this line there are robots such as Mazinger Z,Great Mazinger,Grendizer,Jeeg,Danguard Ace and Gaiking.I have Grendizer, and it's fantastic .It has a very good paint job and it's about 40 cm. tall.

Much thanks!
Gonna have to see if they have the Mazingers.
So are the figures hollow vinyl? How's the quality? No special features or accessories, right?

Shax,
Were you in the Cleveland area when you saw the FLOSR Dragun? If so, where?

It's in a store that literally has no visable name on Detroit Ave. in Lakewood, just West of Cleveland; shortly after Detroit intersects with a road named Nicholson.

Well, I stopped in today. Thanks for the tipoff, I would have never seen it...I usually travel via Clifton due to the 35 mph speed limit Anyway, they had the Marmit FLOSR Grendizer in the window...it was what, 49.99? Not terrible. It seems like they had a lot of stuff available through Diamond...they also had a lot of comic related stuff. Oh, and trophys. All in all, not a bad place, reasonable prices too...unlike the late Atomic Eye. 80 bucks for 4000Y models...anyway... There's a place up in Coventry near the Winking Lizard that has what appears to be the FLOSR Maz Z and Great Maz, in addition to a vinyl Kamen Rider or two. I'm not sure if they're for sale or not. If you're really daring/desperate, you could head on into big fun while you're up there. Yeah yeah, I know, I should have just e-mailed him...

Ha. It's so weird we live in the same area. The Atomic Eye guy tried to sell his store to me and a friend of mine at one point! As for Big Fun, cool place, but ridiculous prices. They don't tend to carry anything new either I'll try the Coventry place, sometime. I don't venture out there too much, but it might be worth the trip. Thanks!

I really wouldn't make a special trip up there...the vinyls were window displays, and I'm not sure if they were for sale or not. Big Fun is obscene...they had a jetfire there for 175 that was bordering on orange. Their auctions tend to be ok though. They need to move a good anime/import store over into Asian Plaza or something. Have you ever been up to Pacific Mall and Chinatown in Toronto?

Nope. I've only been in the area for a year, and I spent most of that working full time, so I still have much of the surrounding area to discover.
As for Big Fun, I appreciate them most for their window displays. Most of the help there isn't too knowledgeable or helpful either.
"How much is that transformer?"
"Which?"
"That one. The one I'm pointing at"
"Oh, let me check. HEY PHIL!"
"WHAT?!"
"HOW MUCH IS THE TOY?!"
"WHICH ONE?!"
"THE WHITE AND BLACK ONE?!"
"$85 BUCKS!"
"Uh, does he even know which toy we're talking about? And how did he know the price without checking??"

Hi,
So how would you be able to know if you are buying an authentic Marmit figure? Is there a brand printed under a foot or at the back?
I am curious because there is a "loose" Mazinger Z that I saw in our local chinatown and I just want to know if it is Marmit since the seller doesn't know wich company made it. Thanks.

Yes, there is. I think it may be on the bottom of one of the feet. I used to have the first wave and I always thought that the Daigokin Mazinger was from the same molds as the FLOSR...but I never got the Daigokin to compare.

What is the difference between the Daigokin and the FLOR line?

Well, there's only Mazinger Z to talk about as that's the only Daigokin available right now...but they look alike although the molds are reportedly different. The daigokin is also supposedly smaller than the Marmit FLOSR Maz.

What is the difference between the Daigokin and the FLOR line? The biggest difference is one is made out of plastic/vinyl and the other ones diecast .

The last Fierce Legend Robots I have is the Shin Getter Robot 1 and got this long time ago. Did MARMIT discontinue the toy line? Does anyone knows if there going to release new Robots?
