I think a few people here were interested in the rerelease, so they'll probably be pleased to know that he's just come out.
Checking my HLJ account and he's just been shipped, so I should be getting mine next week. ;D

Mine arrived a little while back now. I think he'll be staying in robot form from now on the components all felt a little too fragile for my taste. I do like the big range of accessories he comes with. Couldn't resist taking a couple of pics...  So many weapons, got to be tough picking which ones to take...  |

I recently received my yahoo japan winnings.. And included in that is a used SOC combattra. One red disc,one arm thread is missing. Other than that I think it still was a good deal. Won it for 6000 yen. Every thing else is there and figure is still c9+
Even though I have not seen the anime combattra or liked the design of the robot as much as Voltes V.
I find that he is the most playable SOC. My SOC grendizer normal and black are shelf displays along with the getter silver trainers. Before my shipment of SOC arrive I speculated that Grendizer would be the most playable.
Its like being able to play with Voltes V Godaikin without being afraid of breaking him. So I guess I'm using Combattra as a substitute for Voltes V. I like the part that his magnets play a significant role in keeping him volted in.The way that the hands are hidden and can come out of the forearms are cool. I was glad his hands are not add ons like the other SOC(except for SOC Dancougar)
So for the playable factor.. SOC combattra became tops in my SOC list.
Hopefully when Voltes comes out he will be meatier than combattra and and is more poseable.

FINALLY!! I got my SOC Combattra. I haven't played or take them out of the box. It is one of my Christmas gifts for myself. I even will wrap it in Christmas wrapper ofcourse. My initial impression of the toy is that it is "plastic" and the weight is "light". But then I guess I am just used to my Voltes V godaikin. Now I am just looking for a Daimos. |
