Chogokin is a japanese word coined by the revered animator, Go Nagai (creator of Mazinger Z). It means literally, Super Alloy. This term was later capitalized by Popy, a 70's toy robot company in Japan to market its die cast toys based on then popular anime or live action shows. Popy is a subsidiary of BANDAI. When it went bankrupt, it was reabosrbed by its parent company. It just recently operated again! I think it is now selling only vinyl toys, still based on vintage anime/live action shows. The very first character/robot from this line was the GA-01 Mazinger Z. It became instantly popular and spawned a very long line of diecast robot/mecha toys that are mostly, if not all, based on anime and live action shows (Tokusatsu and Sentai). Godaikin is the name of the line Bandai used, in the 80's, to sell these toys by Popy in the U.S. Dancouga/r was part of the "Godaikin" line. It is also part of the Soul of Chogokin line. "Soul of Chogokin" line is a homage, by Bandai, to the original die cast toys it sold. Shogun Warriors were actually robot characters that were very popular in Japan. IIRC, the shogun warriors were Great Mazinga, Reideen, Dangaurd Ace and Gaiking. I think Combattra a.ka. Combattler V, was also a part of it. They were collectively called "Shogun Warriors" in the US, but these robots actually have their own original series by independent animation companies. Mattel remarketed some of these robots into its Shogun Warriors line. Marvel even had comics based on Shogun Warriors.

So to simplify---
Godaikin--- nostalgic japanese bot toys from the 70s-80s full of diecast (released as Shogun warriors in US).
Chogokin (Maz's super alloy)-- but now has become the popular term for diecast toys released by Bandai - in their succeeding attempt to cash in on the Godaikin nostalgia. Some toys have nothing to do with Maz or the Shoguns i.e Gundams, Eva, Godzilla but are still called 'chogos'.
