Right,
I've set my sights on buying one of the new Chogokin Evangelions.
I don't know which one though. Both are equally appealing.
Vote please and also.....reply as well, explaining why your choice?

I'd buy GX-22 because I love the chrome look, but you will probably end up getting both and then buying the rest if you don't already. Also it seems GX-22 is going up in price so you better get him soon before he ends up like GX-14 and costing close to a hundred bucks.

I just put both of them on the shelf, and they are both great (just like the first four). If I was forced to choose, I'd take the chrome. If I wasn't forced to choose, I'd still take the chrome. The chrome Eva is an awesome little shelf-gem. The other cool thing about the chrome, is that the 04 was supposed to run with an S2 engine, so if you're a total anime correct detail fiend, you can still pose the metal monster without the pesky power cord.
Until it vanishes in a Sea of Durac, and takes your whole collection with it....

Once you have it, you'll start thinking of GX-21, then like I always say, it's all downhill from there!

Although it looks like GX-22 is the one everybody is picking. GX-21 is still an awsome piece thats better than 90% of the Eva stuff out there  . |

Buy them both, too bad I overpaid at Hobby Unlimited in Burlingame! I mean it is a free economy system and they didn't put a gun to my head, but these guys are arrogant SOB's...Shizty too! I called them up, "Hi, do you guys have GX-05 Gaiking?"
"No we don't, wait we have one in the case, we can sell you that one with 10% off."
Drive 20 miles @ average 70 MPH in order to beat them from closing the store since they close at 6:00 pm and I get off work in SF at 5:30pm...
(((Panting)))"Hi, I talked to one of you and you said you will sell me the GX-05 in the case with 10% off?"
"Oh. Yeah you are the one who called?"
"Yes."
"Oh I got to check with my manager first."
"What?"
"Yup, I have to check with my manager to see if he will sell it."
"WTF? Okay go ahead!"
15 minutes later...
"Oh, he said that GX-05 is rare and he can't get one anymore. So it is not for sale. Sorry."
"Ok, wait ask him if I paid full price for his jankie opened toy would he then sell it ?"
Fifteen minutes later, store is closed, I'm the only one in the store.
"Sorry, he said that we are going to stop selling the ones in the case since we felt as if he was missing out."
"Damn! Okay, I have this itch to spend this money, do you guys have GX-15-20?"
"Um yeah, we do."
"Can you make me a deal if I buy all three."
"Let me ask my manager."
Fifteen minutes later...
"Um...how are you paying?"
"Cash"
"Ok, he said he can't give you a discount, but we will just not charge you the sales tax."
"That's it? 8.25 %?"
"Yup, because these are rare and hard to find."
"Fine, how much?"
"Um, 79.99 for the red one, 86.99 for the blue one and 89.99 for the Yellow one. 256.97"
"Damn, ok, whatever..."
;D ;D ;D That's the story about the first 3 I got, GX-21 and 22 is even cooler, but I'll save that! LOL
GX-14 I bought from reputable seller from HK, he goes on eBay as Blacknight1974, Lewis. Great guy fair and quick shipper.

Two days ago i got 3 of the getter series 18,19 and 20 on ebay with 3 bases, 194$ with shipping included.

So much for not contributing very much! (see my post in Microman section, but hi!)  I recently had the opportunity to see these figures both together, and while they look nice as a pair, if you can only choose or afford one, I'd go for the chrome version (which is the one I bought!). It just looks nicer. |

Its true.. both pieces are exqisite and compleate each other in my book.. If you have one.. You wish you got the other.
If i had to select one however.. Dude, you cant front on Chrome! Chrome will always be dead sexy. Always.

I WON'T be buying from Hobby Unlimited.
That was just wrong. You went out of your way to be a GOOD customer and they jerked you around.
Good luck.
And DON'T buy from easyshop88 on Ebay. He use to be good but not anymore. He took my money for a Mazinger 1901 Repaint and ran.
