I've been wondering about this for a while now. Why is The Chogokin Voltes so much more valuable than the other ones? I know Voltes is pretty much the most popular toy robot around, but are people really paying $30 for him while the others generally cost between $12 and $20. Was Voltes a limited release?

For one thing, I think with the growing desire for the DX version this may be the only Voltes V most people will own. It may also mean that Bandai did not anticipate the demand for this toy. The mysterious thing about this, i know that people are buying this particular THE Chogokin two or three at a time, but no one is swamped eBay with it. I think many are waiting to dump this slowly with aspirations of the grandure of the DX encarnation.
But this means good news if Bandai will listen to the numbers and the obvious overwhelming demand for this particular toy. Since it may mean the consideration of the real toy we are truly anticipating, SOC Voltes V. ;D

Most of them really have a lot of diecast on them. Especially Robocon and Mach Baron. I would have to say they are at least 90% diecast. Those two little buggers are quite heavy for their size. Mazinger and the Getter Robos are very impressive too, also with plenty metal. Just looking at them, you don't expect them to weigh as much as they do.
