No, it actually came from California about 3 years ago. It took a long time to locate in complete condition. You like it I assume? I added in text recently on www.robot-japan.com for the Baldios, because it deserved some commentary. It is especially odd how each leg transforms differently.

I have the ST version which is really solid. Does the DX version have as much diecast as the ST?

You bet... I have the ST version which is really solid. Does the DX version have as much diecast as the ST? To be honest, this toy is very much a hybrid. Much of the transformation on the toy can't be accomplished with diecast. As a result I'd Guess about 30% of the toy is D/C. We have a diecast chest, some of the legs, and the solid brass landing gear / wheels for the vehicles. I was quite suprised to see so much brass on the toy. Then the rhinestone was an outlandish touch! Ed

In my opinion it's kind of a fluke. Very slick transformation but ugly as sin. Just take a look at the neck.. It's an inch long. I was looking at mine the other day wondering what the hell they were thinking.
Ed, I don't really follow you here..
"The design screams "toy" and "art" in my opinion; like a African idol crudeness with simultaneous charm. "
Anyway, the ST version is by far one of the greatest accomplishments Nomura ever spat from its belly. Solid diecast and with a virtual array of gimmicks (including a disk that shoots from an opening chest). Another tidbit about the charm of that piece is that Nomura's actual telephone # is actually cast into the back of the toy. How cool is that?
