There seems to be a HK KO of this toy as well. Anyone know how to tell the difference?

I have the knock-off and not the real toy. From what I've heard, the box is pixelated and the tip-off.

As far as the toy goes, I have no clue. This later ko was of quite a high quality. So much so, that it obscured the variations and whacked the GR 1 prices.

I'd look for hand painted aspects in the face and try to compare it to the k.o. pictures on robot-japan.com . (My reproduction)

Red shoulder
Blue shoulder
Prototype colors

There never was an original popy prototype color version, so it's pretty cool.
