This is the closest view I've seen of the clear version, and I must say, it looks way better than I expected. I have the black one, but now I may end up having to get this one and the regular one too. ;D

It is high quality. The magnetic joints are very strong and can hold just about any pose. Despite not having any diecast (on the outside at least), it's got a little heft to it too. Also, it is similar in size to the Mazinger SOCs, so it displays nicely with them as well.

I'll tell you just how good those magnetic joints are. I have the opaque version, puchased in '78. It was only last week, when I had the thing out to photograph, that I discovered you could pop the arms and legs off. Those magnets are strong! Another nice thing about the Takara toys is their shooters. The missiles click right into place and they don't fire spontaneously (ala Bullmark). By the way, does this version have a clear backpack as well?
