I was wondering something about the Godaikin Tetsujin 28.Are most of the outer blue pieces ABS Plastic or die-cast?How much metal is in this figure(identify naming parts, please)?

Mine's in storage right now so I cant be specific, but the outer removable leg and arm panels as well as the chest plate are all die cast. For that matter there is a lot of die cast on Tetsujin. I remember him being a very heavy piece. I wonder if he isn't the heaviest of that line.
BTW if anyone has spare robo boys for this robot please let me know. I have the maintenance bots but lack the driver.

Because for some reason, the outer panels don't look metal.

It's hard to be specific without it in front of me, but I know the chest plate is d.c. and I'm pretty sure the arm/leg plates are too, but I could be wrong.

this maybe out of topic, but dont you guys notice that some tetsujins has black feet and some has blue feet? at first i thought it was more of Jap version 1st edition black feet, godaikin version blue feet.
But now i see jap versions with blue feet and Godaikin versions with black feet? are they toy swaps or poor quality control on the side of Popy or is the black just a sign of plastic discoloration? heheheh

I can help.
The front chest, arm, and leg pannels are metal. In fact I think they're steel/an alloy.
Next the back and head and feet are all plastic. BUT keep in mind that the hinges are beefy diecast and have magnets. Some inner leg pannels are a tin litho!
As to color variations, I believe the plastic reflects quite differently to different flashes & lighting. In the end most every toy is the same blue.

Further clarifications:
- The back is metal, not plastic. - All the external metal is indeed pressed steel, not zinc.

You are RIGHT about the back. Now I remember how it scratches sometimes when you put on the jet pack. Thanks I

Didn't this 'different color T28s' issue get covered in another thread?
