Is the "THE CHOGOKIN" GT series considered SOC? Okay, I'm just wondering lest this thread is moved somewhere else on the RJ Forum. On the other hand, some of the replies to this thread have many referrences to other SOC items.
Speaking of THE CHOGOKIN series, I haven't handled my GT-00 and GT-01 for quite some time since they're both inside sealed acrylic cases. I'm not sure if they have plastic shoulders, but I'm betting they're diecast. If CHOGOv9 is referring to the thought of changing the shoulders into plastic to prevent scratches, then I'd think otherwise. Plastic has other problems associated with it, such as retardation of shape due to climate or temperature. Plastic is more likely to get scratched and can leave nasty groves that are difficult to correct. As for diecast, the problem is usually with the paint being scratched or chipping off. In any case, you can always paint over it, but I think most things deteriorate over time (even if kept in sealed boxes) and there's a certain quality to something that looks vintage. Well, just as long as the toy doesn't look like a kid played with it in a sandbox or something.

Well technically this thread should be in the Chogokin/Shogun Warriors/Godaikin/ section since this section is for SOC's and toys like SOC's (Aoshima, Max Gokin).

Something like a dozen. This includes the black version Raideen and the GT-00 repro Maz. I am working on this set myself. They are really cool little figs!

Getting close on the entire set. I am now only lacking 3 pieces! GT-02, GT-05 and GT-10. The hardest to find is going to be the GT-10, I am sure. I have not seen it anywhere. Does someone have a lead on that one? The other 2 should be pretty available, as I have seen them recently but passed because I was looking for the others in the set at the time. So close... ;D Anyone else have the issue with the GT-00 having a slightly mishaped head? Mine came out of his MISB with a skewed head. Also, the material they used for the head is kinda soft. Not hard plastic like you would expect. Most people might not notice, but I am a perfectionist. I might ask for an exchange on that one.

Sweet! Do the gashapons have all of the gimmicks, like firing fists and missles, that their counterparts have? Thanks for posting the pic, Joweone!

These are fantastic, I can't believe the quality. I think my favs. are MachBaron and Raideen. I only have 4 at the moment with the possibilty of getting 2 more from local stores - looks like I have some work ahead of me to get them all.

Be patient, they will come. I have seen them all recently on various auction sites. Also, Big Bad Toy Store actually has some of them in stock for a decent price. Good luck. You will not regret getting these ones.
