Depends on which one you are talking about. They are all pretty nice figures. There are several versions of the Kiryu design MechaG (GD45, GD57, GD57B, GD57M, there may be one more. not sure) and 2 versions of the Showa era MechaG (GD56 & GD56M). The different letter designations are simply repaints or color changes. All of these toys are great! The only drawback of any, is the feet on the Showa MechaGs use a small peg attachment that is easily broken if the toys is mishandled. I only display my stuff, so no problems here. ;D Here is a shot of GD56 and GD57 alongside the GD76, Gigan.

I used to own GD-57,but traded it for a GT-02(Robocon), and a Chogokin book. Anyway GD-57 is a great Gokin piece. It's posable(sort of),transformable(you add the back on it), and has a neat gimmick(you open up a chest, you can insert the ship into it,and you can launch it by pressing the middle fin on its back). Also die-cast wise,it's pretty good. GD-57 has die-cast legs and feet, and its chest is too. So it compromises a good 45-50% die-cast on the main body.

This is still my favorite diecast rendition of MechaG!
