Hello all. First off, I want to thank everyone for the great insight you've posted on this board the last few years. I haven't been very active in the threads but have definitely been over-active in my purchases. And this leads me to my current problem.
I've been offered the following trade:
I have a C-9 in C-9 box Godaikin Golion, C-9 in C-9 box Godaikin Daltanias, C-9 in C-9 box Popy Golion and NMIB Trendmasters 1997 Voltron.
In return I can get a Mint-in-Mint box Popy Golion, C-9 Popy Jaguar Vulcan (PC-20) and a C-9.8 in C-9.8 box Japanese version Daltanias.
Obviously I'm a huge Voltron fan, but I've just bought the Masterpiece version and no longer feel the need to acquire EVERY Voltron. Space is definitely now a limiting factor so the trade would help me reduce my total # of toys but increase the quality of them. Can the experts give me their opinion on this one?
Thanks...

If you break it down here's the only things I see as the decision making variables of the trade:
Your Trendmasters Voltron - traded for a slight upgrade in condition of Daltanias and Golion.
Your Godaikin Golion - traded for an upgrade to Japanese of both Daltanias and Golion, AND a Jaguar Vulcan. To me personally everything else seems to pan out, so these would be my decision makers, if that helps at all.

Have you seen the popy golion in person to know that its condition is better than yours?

I have seen the other Golion in person. The box is no kidding mint (can these things be reproduced because it looks new?). As for the actual lions, they are marginally better. Mine are pretty close to mint with 2 very minor blemishes whereas the new ones are perfect.
The big advantages of the trade for me are as follows:
1) While I never wanted it in the past, the completely mint Golion will be the hallmark of my collection. I have a NMIB Tetsujin (SG-01) and a NMIB Diaclone Fortress X which are awesome, but I strongly feel Voltron is the best toy ever made. This is purely opinion obviously but nothing holds stronger ties to my childhood than Voltron. Also, I won't be playing with this toy. That's what my new Masterpiece Voltron is for.
2) I want the Japanese version of Daltanias vice the Godaikin version (simply for the box art). Other than that our toys are pretty much the same quality.
3) I've been looking for a good Jaguar Vulcan for over a year to match up with my Sun Vulcan. I'd rather have a Jaguar Vulcan than additional Voltrons.
4) Space is at a premium. I'm sure many collectors can relate with this fact.
Clearly I'm leaning heavily toward making the trade. I just wanted to see if any of the long time collectors had strong feelings against it or maybe lessons learned from the past which would justify not making the trade.

Personally man, do whatever floats your boat. By that I mean do what you think you'll be happy with. It sounds like the items up for trade are in very good condition, and it does sound like you are partial to going ahead with it. If it was me, I'd go for it. No regrets when you get something you like.
