I say leave the paint alone if you plan to sell. If the buyer wants to mess with that, let em. It will not add to the value, and may detract, in some peoples eyes. If they are yours and you plan to keep them, go ahead and touch up, but keep in mind the earlier suggestion if you plan to sell at some point in the future. I have touched up some figures in my collection, but only when very damaged and I couldn't stand to look at it. Otherwise, some chipping can add character to a vintage piece. Kinda like battle damage and all that. The pic you posted shows the chipping on the chrome section. That can be very difficult to fix. There really are no good paints that will match the "plasti chrome" process. You can get some tapes that will simulate chrome, but you will see the edges of the tape when applied. Good luck man! Nice piece, btw.

So how much does it worth these days? You have the chogokin version which is rarer than the godaikin version. Presumably that there are no missing parts and no other damages other than the one you mentioned, I would say between 200 to 300 dollars. For comparison, I sold my Godaikin version with a broken plastic in one of the robot and still sold about 210 dollars.

It would help to see the box inside & parts.
Your paint chipping is actually chrome plating falling off with age. That wouldn't bother me too much... .aging causes some strange things. -Completeness matters most.
