There isn't a Gokin GD version is there? JWM Just the Zinclon Bullpets by Bullmark. There are several color variations of him If you travel down this path, you are doomed! ;D I still need to grab the plated Gigan (GD76M), chrome MechaG (GD45M), and the chrome 74 MechaG (GD56M)to complete the gokin G series. Every day, they get more difficult to find and more expensive to acquisition. I recently stumbled upon the GD57B in a local comic shop. Digging in piles always helps! Good luck!

jwm, I also meant to answer your other question. The vinyl series of G toys does not have a suitable match for the Bandai GD gokin series. About as close as you will come is the 6" series (MM) of G toys. As for one G toy in your collection, it is an act of great willpower to resist the second purchase, but if you must, choose the sculpt that appeals to you most and grab that. Here is a comparison of the GD56 and a vinyl (MM) G toy.

Thanks, Sketcher. I'll do some poking around for a Godzilla. Very careful poking around.

WOW!!!!
Excellent pics guys!
Thanks for posting! Makes my order for the MechaGodzilla all the sweeter! I think I might order the regular color too!!!
Sir Dan, is that Ultraman A from the Ultra Chogokin line too?
I bought an Ultraman Nexus gokin some months back, and it grew on me. I was wondering if there are still stocks of the other Ultraman gokins available.

Well, as I mentioned, in a fit of Friday night blindness I ordered the GD 45 from e-trade168 on e-bay. Has anyone dealt with this guy? He even has vintage stuff including a five box Voltes V set. I did my usual thing- placed the order, paid 'buy it now' with Paypal, and sent an e-mail to confirm. Last night I got the one-word response to my e-mail. "shipped" That was fast. We'll see how soon it gets here.

You can readily find this model now, but don't wait. The Original version, GD-58 Chogokin Ultraman, is getting pretty rare. I missed it originally and had to pay more when I finally found it. The GD67 has a better quality paint job IMO. Seems they weren't sure if the series would catch on. When it did, they cranked up the quality commitment. All of the later Chogokin Ultra have nicer paint compared. There are several more in the series: GD-58 Chogokin Ultraman GD-59 Chogokin UltraSeven GD-67 Chogokin Ultraman Jack GD-74 Chogokin Ultraman Ace GD-75 Chogokin Ultraman Nexus I'm hoping they make the GD-?? Leo, Father, King, Zoffy etc.

For those who have some knowledge on the matter- what would be the definitive Godzilla figure to get if you were going to get only one. I'd like to get one in scale with the GD 45 figure, and of a size to fit in with a shelf full of SOC's. I don't want a 12" giant, or something. Who makes the best one? There isn't a Gokin GD version is there? No Godaikin AFAIK, and there have been so many Godzilla figures over the years that to call one "definitive" is pretty much impossible... I'd go with one of the Bandai vinyl 6.5", those should be in scale. As for which one? I'm a fan of the one from Godzilla vs. Destroyer and the one from Final Wars. But there are a ton of them out there; find your favorite that's in the 6-7" scale, and you should be in good shape. Heck, for authenticity, find one from the most recent Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla or Tokyo S.O.S. so Kiryu's fighting the right one. ;D Good luck! My recent GD-57B purchase is inspiring a similar Godzilla hunt...

On another note, can anyone confirm if there was a GD45M as well as the GD57M? Every time I have seen a chrome kiryu, it was the 57M.
