Definitely overpriced. Kimono used to have them for half that, but you could easily find it at YahooJapan for less and even eBay if you're patient.

Isn't the whole thing plastic except for the bottom section of the jaw?

Actually, the bottom section of the jaw is plastic, too. The frame (the bottom and a strip running across the middle) is diecast. It still has a decent heft, and is certainly one of the more unique designs. Pretty damn cool, but $225 is too much. Not too many popinica sell for this much. Maybe the bases, Voltes ships, Daltanias Delfighter, Ulysses Astronave, and Yamato. Anything else?
