Josh, its funny you would say that - I hate this item without ever touching one. I had the ST version, and despised it. Mostly I disliked how the legs of the robot didn't come together in the spaceship mode, but I also really dislike the robot design. Although the DX seems to have corrected the leg issue, I still don't like the design.
Sorry - this has nothing to do with your purchase, solscud007. Congrats on your score. If you like it, then its a great purchase. Its just my personal opinion on the item itself. I rarely hate any gokin, but this is one of the few that meets that criteria for me.
But on a different note, I've seen these DX versions as a "bump 'n' go" KO item too, a feature that is not available in the original, as far as I know!! I can post pics later if anyone is interested.

"Bump n Go" is a battery operated toy that moves around, and when it hits something like a wall, it bounces off and randomly changes direction. Here's a pic: I have pics of the toy itself, but from the photos I have, it looks pretty much the same as the Godaikin version (from what I can tell - as I've said, I've never owned one). The photos don't show the bottom of the toy, where the wheels would be.

From the pics, the head and arms look different from the original. But it does look like it can change into all three modes. If anyone else is interested in owning one of the originals, I've got a Japanese boxed one up on Ebay right now (shameless plug I know, but see the sales section for the link).....
