I recently bought a toy and paid for it by Paypal. I got a refund 3 days later with the following email
***********************
Well Paypal has done to me what it has done to many others apparently. they arbitrarily suspended my account. stating possible fraud activity. from what i have been told by others if you withdraw too much at one time they freeze it. I went to Paypal sucks.com and saw 100's of the same stories.
I for some reason have been able to refund your payment and now need to get a money order as i will NEVER EVER use Paypal again.
send to:
S.B.Sutter 11250 N56th St. Tampa Fl 33617 thanks and let me know that you got this
***********************
After kindly telling him I am not comfortable with MO, the seller became more threatening and abusive (typical of a scam). So, watch out for it. PM if you are interested in his eBay id.

As far as you're concerned, you had fulfilled your obligation by paying the item thru PayPal. It's unfortunate that his a/c got suspended, thus resulting in your refund. Thefore, he can't hold you responsible & demand payment thru other options. The mess is at his back yard, hence he needs to sort it out with PayPal.
Since the payment is cancelled, then the seller is no longer required to send the item to you. Why is he insisting payment from you diecastjunkie? Has he sent the item out?

As far as I can tell, he's not from RJ. Most of his past items are car/racing related.
The seller is asking for MO which IMO offers no protection and should never be used for auction payment. His explaination is wacky, too. From what I gather, if Paypal suspends/freezes your account, there's NOTHING you can do, including refund.
Just watch out for this kind of thing. The seller might say Paypal is OK to get your trust, then try to pull something like this. Paypal is not perfect, but the other paying options are worse...

You may also want to consider reporting what he is doing to Ebay. Just to be on the safe side.

I didn't lose any $$$.
Just a big waste of time and a bit disappointed. It's a piece I really like.
Too bad there are so many people out there trying to take advantage of our hobby.
