Ugh! I'm staying away from them. Those old 'School Bot' valkyries look a little more decent.

Just for everyone to know, the ball socket that is part of the stand has a habbit to crack after one use. This then makes it imposible to hold the valkryie at all.

so if i have the super articulated banpresto ones, i shouldn't bother with these? i already have the fragile banpresto Japanese issued ones with 3 different interchangeable heads each. "Perfect Transformation Super Valkyrie VF-1S/J/A"...is it the same, or close enuff? by the way, i have an extra one of this red one on my for sale list. I like them and all, they are just too delicate for me. i like stuff i can put in my pocket, and not damage, or have pieces falling off. This i treat more like a model kit, not a toy. I can pose them great, put them in dioramas, but not handle much.

Totally different toys. The Toynami 1/100 scale toys are new designs supposedly based on Toynami's superposeable action figures. They are reportedly much sturdier than the Banpresto's.

Best Toys here in the PI have both toynami and banpresto side by side on it's aisle, the design of the banpresto is little bit inferior overall. the toynami's look great and finely detailed. paint apps is very good too.
i like them, thinking of getting em if budget permits. series 2 looks great too. hope they do the other VFs in the other macross anime series.

The Banpresto's weren't really designed to be sturdy. They're made specifcally for U.F.O. Catcher machines as prizes. They weren't really meant to be collectibles.
