Hi Guys ! Been a while since I last posted ... I'm currently assembling an illustrated book about toys distributed in France from 1975 to 1989. The book will be around 280 pages, over 135 lines of toys will be depicted. I've been working on it for the last 6 months. Here are some page samples : "Teaser" cover : Toys for boys : "Captain Future" toys (Capitaine Flam) ... Toys for girls : "Heidi" And last ... but not least ... Japanese Robots : Anyway, I need the help of the community. I'm looking for high resolution pictures of European MIB Popy / Bandai toys. Those toys are generally both French and Italian. I'm looking for : - DX Daimos - DX Tetsuzin (SUPER ROBOT 28 in yellow box) - Battle Fever - Battle Shark - Gordian - LES LIONS (Voltron / Lionbot) I need 300 dpi pics (high resolution) with no flash marks. I need the front of the box + back + instructions paper work + robot / ship in styrofoam + pics of sealed accessories (missiles, punches, etc.). Voilà ... any help will be greatly appreciated, and the name of the contributors will appear in the book. The book is due out in France in march of next year (2008) ... Thanks to all !

Up guys ... I know there already are TONS of books about vintage Japanese toys, anyway ... I guess Robot Japan is not the right forum for my request. I didn't even get a single "Your book sucks, dude !" answer ... how disappointing ...

Hey, don't fret. Your book looks amazing!! You did a great job with it. I especially like how you showed all the details - transformations, close-ups, etc. Can't wait to see the full book.
However, sorry, but I can't help you with photos. All of my items are loose and incomplete.

SWEEEET! i hope it includes some guides to ALBATOR and GALAXY EXPRESS 999 toys, if so, you've got a sale even though i don't speak french.
...you should consider translating this book into English and Spanish, as i know a lot of collectors from US & Spain get confused with the French issues of these toys!

There will be around 8 pages on Albator. No GALAXY EXPRESS 999 toys were available in France. Here's an old pic of my Albator display : We'll keep the book a "local" (France & Belgium) event. But who knows ... but you're right : French boxed items tend to get confused with Spanish or Italian ones.

Hi Robocolt... I like your book project. I hope this could be of use... It's my italian Goldrake model kit figure... I bought it used, already assembled, from RJmember Magnemo a while back. The box details and print are all in italian. zozo-Magengar

Thanx zozo-Magengar ! This toy is sweet, it'll be in the book with the French box. All toys featured in the book will be in French or European boxes / blisters.

How did you get the rights from all those companies to use their toys images and likenesses in your book?

Well, I took contact with Bandai France, Mattel France & hasbro France. I got the green light from all 3, it took 7 months.
