Shogun Kargosaur

New to the Robot-Japan boards! Trying to rekindle some childhood memories and looking to complete a collection. I'm hoping to purchase the ever-elusive Shogin Warriors Kargosaur car. Does anyone have an idea how much one of these guys are going for currently (I recall they were sky-rocketing in the late 90's)? Is there a comprehensive price guide for such Shogun Warriors or other Popy die cast robots? Any comments would help.

Welcome to R-J, 23waverly. There is no comprehensive price guide on this stuff. I know that Kargosaur (AKA Daikumaryu Gai King) is hard to find and expensive for either the ST or DX version. You may want to look into Yahoo Japan, or some of the buying proxys like Rinkya. Other R-J members will have info on these services. I have never used them myself. Of course, there is always the less-than-perfect GX05 SOC version, which, for all its faults, is still a very cool piece.

23waverly, hi. A boxed mint ST will cost around 250-300USD. I've seen it only once on Ebay (in Mattel box) during the last 8 months. A loose or not perfect toy is not so rare.
I've got 2 such toys during the last 2 months (Ebay item numbers: 160108016441 and 120108549696), I think they are excellent for display.Hope it helped.
By the way, I'm also trying to complete my Shogun Warriors collection and have to find only 2 toys (Sky Jet and Grand Car) to finish it.
