I got this PB-02 Dangard Sky Arrow from my local crackgokin joint yesterday. It's in very good condition and scored it for $5 only. Is it from Dangard Ace? Please help.

yes its from danguard ace. I searched youtube and it doesn't look like it's part of the actual Danguard Ace robot. Is it a support aircraft like Koji's in the Grendizer series?

Yeah it's a support/training vehicle and not an actual part of Danguard/Satalizer. Still a great find for $5!

these cool ships were released as part of the SHOGUN WARRIORS line in the US, and were one of the more difficult to find at retail at the time. Last time i had one it sold for $175 MIB. Good score bro!

Now it is the most easy to find toy of the Shogun Warriors line. The price for the MIB toy is usually less then 40$ on Ebay (take a look at Ebay item 190040203878)

In fact, about a year ago, some dude was selling sealed cases of these. 6 per box, never opened. He almost could not give the things away. Most of the cases sold for around 125-150 per! That's 6 MISB Sky Arrows per box! Whould-a-thought?

Good score bro! Sorry, but as the previous 2 posters said, I think you are way off base here. If I could get $175 for mine, I would sell it in a minute!! As Sketcher said, you could have gotten a case of these for less, and most of the time his auctions didn't even sell!!

i dont know what to tell you guys- i got $175 for my MIB 2 years ago. it had DANGUARD ACE in the title (that makes a HUGE difference in value for Shogun Warrior toys, having the japanese name in the title of the auction.) as well as Leiji Matsumoto- its all about what people are willing to pay. sorry to hear that i got excellent money for mine!!! ha! it, along with the LIABE, was less ordered at retail in the 70's than the other Shogun vehicles when it was a regular release. my father worked at a toy store in the 70s as the GM, he did all the orders, was a godzilla fan so Shoguns were on his radar big time- it comes straight from the horses mouth of someone who actually filled in those retail order forms and was on the retail front lines in the 1970s... i wouldnt take ebay's "this week value" on ANY shogun warrior item, i sold my loose Liabe for $90, the same week a MIB one sold for $55. Last jumbo Great Mazinga i had sold for $75 a year ago, now it sold last week for $132. i don't know about any of you, but have any of you personally bought any of those Shogun cases? i had one when i worked for the ebay store, the boxes were a little moldy, from being in the dark so many years i guess- kind of cool to free them from their cardboard prison though. it makes no sense, but i guess its all about who's interested in that item that week.

Yes, the Liabe is a rare item. And perhaps at the time that your father was placing orders, the Dangard vehicle was not common too. But now it is probably the most common item around. There are always unusual selling prices that baffle the mind, and I'm happy for you that you got so much for yours. I was just trying to provide a clarfication regarding the fair market value for this item. Low prices for this item are not a price "of the week". This determination is based on years of close ebay watching. The prices for this don't flucatuate that much. zman, its still a nice item, and a great pickup regardless of the price / value. They don't make 'em like they used to!!

They don't make 'em like they used to!! no worries. at some point the vehicle cases were price-dropped by mattel to ridiculous levels, less than half price, just like Mego figure cases were too. there was also a big Shogun warehouse find at some point, like the big Mego find, i'm 99.9% sure that's where most of the sealed cases come from. and the kids *were all about the jumbos and the figures* they couldn't care less, for the most part, about the vehicles, just like most collectors now.

... couldn't care less, for the most part, about the vehicles, just like most collectors now. Not I. It's not all Popy stuff pictured below, but wanted to show that some of us are certainly into the vehicles. I have a garage full of 1/18 scale diecast cars. Another collecting problem I have.
