When was the auto-transforming D... 17 produced? Does it have any die-cast? I'm looking for one.

According to Zinc Panic, it was released in December of 1999. I don't think it has any diecast, but it is still an impressive display piece, substantially larger than the Popy version. Be forewarned, the transforming mechanism rarely works on these, and mine has trouble standing upright without wedging something into the joint at the top of its leg. There's some pics in this link: robotjapan.proboards12.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1191508445

Only the feet are die cast, and its also rare to find one that actually works the way its supposed to if at all.

i have one too, but the mechanics doesnt work much, i hav to help it out to form back into the robot, dunno if the thing works or not. I just bought it coz it was cheap that time. But it does look good, even if the mechanism doesn't seem to work well, its still cool. Colors in the toy is superb, makes up for the whole thing.
