Hey guys,
Just wanted to find out what a fair price for a GB-35 was? I found one in good condition with the box and inserts on Yahoo Japan auctions and just wanted to see whether it was a good deal or not.
Thanks!

Didn't want to bump an year old thread but I just couldn't hold out anymore. I've been looking to buy a GB-35 Popy for over 3 years now. Now, there was always one available to me at a local toy shop, but that toy shop is now gone, and their price beyond what I can afford. Other times, I've seen it at toy conventions like wondercon, but they too were too expensive and like the one on the ebay auction that I've just won, is missing the styrofoam tray. Here is a link to the one that I just purchase from ebay. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330086472241There was many reason to why I held back on this one. As mentioned, one being that it was missing the styrofoam tray. But also, this GB-35 has been on ebay for over 2 years and no body wanted it. Those pictures are from two years ago, and I distinctly remember that the seller wanted 20$ more for it two years ago. But the main reason was because of the price. I could've spent the money on SOC GX-41 and GX-42 or just GX-43. Could of add a little more and buy matchbox DX Voltron I. There were also other Popy like GB-03 Battle Fever that I could've bought for less. But I ultimately choose to buy it because after submitting two offers and just not seeing any other posting of this on ebay, I just gave in. I was holding on to my old Matchbox version of this toy in my hand last night and thought, this one is beat up but still in pretty good condition after all these years. Time to get the real version with the firing heads w/sword and shield. Part of the way that I collect is to get whatever catches my eye. But at the same time, I dislike toys that everyone else can easily get their hands on. It's one of the reason that I have stop buying SOC. They are readily available and have constant reissues. Another example is G1 transformers, I rarely look at vintage G1 Transformers, because of the TF collections series and now the Encore series. For someone that has the money to shell out, vintage is the way to go because of the rarity. If Bandai chooses to, they cans make a GB-35R, I would've been much happier because it would be cheaper, like they did with Raideen GA-09R and RoboCon GA-14R, but they haven't yet. And it's not likely. Just like how they discontinue the chogokin GT line. Now I can't wait to receive this GO-Lion.

Congrats! The Japanese version just takes time to find for some reason...kind of like the U.S. Jumbo with base can be found, but the Japanese release is tough to score. -For the right price that is

Congrats! Your lionbot is still in great shape. If you're not at all a purist, I think that toy without the styro is a good one already.

Just got it in today, not in the condition I was hoping for. Here's some picture to share. Box was in decent condition, actually better than what I expected. The figure had a little more chrome wear than I expected it to have. Bottom feet has some paint chips. Joints were still good, Right arm is a little loose but it can still hold a pose. The firing mechanism still works, springs are still in good condition. Compared to my Matchbox version. Comes with the insert although the card isn't in the best of condition, some water damage to it. Finally, the weapons, Matchbox voltron turns his head slightly cause he didn't have any weapons Lots of chrome wear on the weapons. Overall it's in good/fair condition. This only beat my matchbox version because of the weapons, the firing mechanism, the wings are not broken and the joints to the wings aren't loose. Thinking of swapping some of the parts. Is there a good high gloss chrome spray paint that has a finish that actually looks like chrome plating? If there is, I want to get some to repair some of the chrome wear.
