Can you elaborate further what you meant above? Is it because online auctions didn't exist in 1998, so prices for vintage Japanese robot toys where wild back then. Thanks.

Yes, prices were quite high in 1998 then things settled down. I think Erick is exadurating a bit with the $100 YJ quote. Even if it was that price, be sure to add in handling fees and shipping. I find that costs about a 25% premium
