Hey RJ Crew! I just wanted to share the project that I've been working on for the past several months. It's been a labor of love and I'm nearing completion. I thought you guys might appreciate it even though it's kind of a crazy idea. It's ultimately going to be a city diorama with lots of mecha from the various shows. Strangely enough, most of the mechs will be Kaiyodo toys, Revoltech and Robot Museum figs. The main robot will be an original Kaiyodo resin kit of Godannar sculpted by Katsuhisa Yamaguchi. It's a great figure with lots of dynamic posability. I'm very excited to get this completed and it's been a lot of fun so far. I've also scuplted my very own Mimetic beast for this project. So enough of blah. Here's the link! www.plamowarriordx.com/blog/

It turned out a lot larger than I initially wanted or anticipated. Guess I get what I deserve for not being very good at math or scale comparisons. ;D

Nice project! If this were a "crazy idea", do you think there would be so much building material for dioramas in the model train, and role play game hobbies? I don't have the space myself now, but I think train sets and giant robots are a perfect fit. Frankly, I'm surprised not more is seen of this.

I just don't think modelers on this side of the pond are as into the scene as we are. I think most of the resources are invested in things like military and tank armor dioramas for the most part. Which is fine, I just wanted to see something a little different. I'm really trying to channel some inspiration from places like Dengeki Hobby and Hobby Japan, as well as anime, manga and add'l sci-fi stories. Hopefully will be done by this weekend!
