Wow! I think it looks great! I am more excited for this than the Jeeg that just came out. What shop did you buy it at Roboto? I go to Taipei a couple of times a year and would love to find the better places to buy. I usually head to the Ximending area and I have found some deals at the Toyworld stores. Thanks for the great photos!

Finally! A photo of someone who opened the Lilith-Gaim. Looks basic, but cute. The whole package looks pretty great, I have to say. It makes me wistful for some sort of SOC/DX/Spec Five Star Stories release, though What parts are die cast? Does any of the external armor (aside from the obvious lower legs, that is) come off with detail underneath?

Wow! I think it looks great! I am more excited for this than the Jeeg that just came out. Check out the SOC Jeeg's size compared to the SPEC L-GAIM box. What shop did you buy it at Roboto? I bought the Tamashii SPEC Heavy Metal L-GAIM at Aunt's Toys. The toyshop is near the Guang Hua Digital Plaza on Song Jiang Road. Aunt's Toys Address: Song Jiang Road No.18 1st FL, Taipei City Tel:(02)25818534 Aunt's Toys often has great bargains on new releases, but the new items tend to disappear fast. I go to Taipei a couple of times a year and would love to find the better places to buy. There are five areas in Taipei that I shop for toys: Ding Hao Plaza (Zhongxiao East Road), Wan Nien Building (Ximending), Taipei Underground Market (near the Taipei Train Station under the Civic Blvd), Song Jiang Road, and the Shilin Night Market. Zhong Xiao East Road1. Monster Toys 2. Hot Dog Toyz 3. Paradise Wan Nien Building (Ximending)1. Hot Dog Toyz (2nd Floor) 2. (A few other shops on the 4th Floor) Taipei Underground Mall1. Indian 2. Hot Dog Toyz 3. Play (Many shops here with great bargains because they're competing with each other.) Song Jiang Road1. Red Sun 2. Aunt's Toys Shilin Night Market1. Shui HuoI usually head to the Ximending area and I have found some deals at the Toyworld stores. I'm not familiar with that toyshop's name. It could be one of the toyshops on the Wan Nien Building's 4th floor. BTW, Ximending usually has higher prices than the other areas I mentioned. What kind of robot toys do you collect? I also know of a few shops here that sell mostly vintage Japanese toys. Thanks for the great photos! Thanks. I'm glad you like them. Anyway, I'll see about posting more photos of the SPEC L-GAIM. I've yet to figure out how to bend the knees without breaking anythng.

Are you able to store the little vehicle inside of the L-Gaim like in the show? I see that the set comes with two of the vehicles.

I've yet to figure out how to bend the knees without breaking anythng. Whaaaa? That's ... not good. I'm sorry about the confusion. Anyway, I should reword my original sentence. What I meant was that I'm still not familiar with the entire range of movement for the SPEC L-Gaim's joints, so I'm being carefull and taking my time lest I break anything. Are you able to store the little vehicle inside of the L-Gaim like in the show? I see that the set comes with two of the vehicles. Yes, the vehicles can be stored inside L-Gaim. Anyhow, I'm sorry about the incomplete report on this toy since I just got it yesterday and quickly took the photos. I will take some more photos of the vehicles later this evening.

This is a the first time I've seen this kind of folding and extending knee joint design on a robot toy. The knees are diecast, but the support bars on the side and hydraulic hoses on the rear are made of plastic. The knees can be rather tough to bend in the beginning, but they're sturdy enough to enable L-Gaim to bend at the knees and hold several different poses. The only problem is that there isn't much swiveling action with the legs. Also, the range of the hip joints is limited; that is, L-Gaim can't be posed with any high kicks. A note about the power cords: they're awfully difficult to plug into three sockets on the Buster Launcher. Are you able to store the little vehicle inside of the L-Gaim like in the show? I see that the set comes with two of the vehicles. The SPEC L-Gaim comes with two tiny vehicles. One of them can fit into L-Gaim's neck. (BTW, the vehicle is called " Flicker". ;D) Courtesy of Mecha Anime HQPower LauncherSaber (Jedi style) Courtesy of Mecha Anime HQLancer (Darth Maul style) Courtesy of Mecha Anime HQShieldS-mine*, sabers, and power launchers can be stored on the back of the shield. * S-mineCourtesy of Mecha Anime HQWhat parts are die cast? The feet, knees, and hip joints are diecast. Everything else is made of plastic. (The same kind of plastic on the SOC Reideen.)

Do they make significantly less SPECS vs the regular SOC's? Cause I never seem to see much around (not that I see a lot of regular SOC's out there...).
