Can't decide whether to get the GFF MC Zeta Plus or Bandai's Macross Frontier VF-25 (with armor). I plan to just buy one or the other because each is around $200 USD and the poor economy means more cautious spending.

Good sites to pre-order this at a decent price? I've seen price range of $200-245 BEFORE shipping costs. Pricey.

I hope it has landing gear like the MG kit. Even better would be retractable landing gear.

The gear will probably be swappable though, especially seeing it equipped with both wheeled gear and landing skids in two different photos. No real big deal in my mind, as the included display stand looks pretty swanky

so is it compareable to the MG at least in size? I'm guessing it'll be around 1/100 scale like the RX-78. Thank you for the link vifam 7. These are the first photos I've seen of it with landing gear. Very nice. From the photos I bet the landing gear will be the removable type (like the GFF MC RX-78's core fighter) instead of retractable (like the incredible core fighter of the Super HCM Pro RX-78). Oh well.

It's funny... being only 19yrs of age atm... I never really gave a damn about RX-78-2... I rented the first Gundam movie a long long time ago and disliked it very much being as I was young and heavily into Gundam Wing. In anycase, after seeing RX-78-2 Ver Ka. I have found new respect for the design and the mecha.
I saw the GFF 1004 and just purchased it. I'm going to be wetting my pants waiting for this thing to come in the mail.
Anyone own one or can gimme any opinions on it? I'm excited.
Also how tall is a 1/100 RX-78-2 anyway?

I just hope that multiple transformation won't scratch the paint job.

Far better QC for the GFF MC line I believe than for the HCM Pro/Super HCM Pro line. Wonderful to display but just not as fun to play with as the Super HCM Pro RX-78-2 which has quite a bit more gimmicks like opening hatches and retractable landing gear for the core fighter. I think that Bandai could've gone just a bit further and made the GFF MC the ultimate RX-78. As it is, it's pretty decent especially when you get the G-Fighter, but it leaves one wanting more after you've been exposed to the features of the Super HCM Pro. So Playability: Just OK.

The pics of the blue one show more details of the landing gear. Sweet. You can see the outer wheel in one of the pics. I think I'll go for the blue one. Yeah, I don't plan to get both at that price point.

I'd be interested to know how much metal there actually is in these metal composite figs. Also, if they use ABS/Hard plastic as opposed to the softer PVC in a lot of the regular Fix figs...
... but still, it's really tempting to pick up a +. I've always loved the standard Zeta Plus design, and the fact that it can adopt an Ex-S/Striker style appearance is just icing on the cake.

Thanks for that. My main concern is the paint and detail so it looks like I won't be let down! =) Could you tell me how tall it is though? Thats one thing I'm rly interested in finding out.
