I am assuming you are talking about black Daltanias . I can remember clearly there was not an instruction booklet, only an colored booklet that shows the combine sequence of Daltanias in the show (maybe 2 to 3 pages long at most). It took me a week to figure out how to transform Daltanias. There were also 6 cards which I threw away. These cards are also issued for the regular Japanese version of Daltanias.

Well, let's not forget about the Black Pope: Mine above is only The Chogokin verion of the original, but IMO the original Popy Black Raideen is still the Kwisatz Haderach of vintage black chogokins and also applies to Ed's question.

All I've got to go on is this image. P.S. Was there a black Guardian or is that just a myth?

Awesome Zoidstar, thanks for the picture!
There were, as I understand things, about two or three black Guardians that were concept toys. The concept was not mass produced, but I've seen one in a collector's hands. -Awesome and over $k toy. Ed

woaaaaah sweeeeeet.....*drool* I've never seen pics of black Dalt or Gardian. Funky!! amazing survivors. I'm not even really all that big of a fan of black version chogokins, myself; I prefer the true colored ones, but still it's interesting to see them in black. What is the origination of doing black versions, anyway? I know all about them but I don't really know the WHY behind them. I understand if they're prototypes, and they were black just because the colors weren't set up yet, but what is the reason behind making a black version? Why not a white version? Is it just to get collectors to buy the same toy a 2nd time for a color variant?
