he's MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the knock-offs. i got 2 sets of 2 of those (red one with blue one) and the LAST knock off set was supposed to be the REAL Bandai version, according to the scam artist on eBay. ARGH! But, at last, the real Fire Valkyrie (Custom) Bandai to go with my real Bomber:

Cool haul!
Congrats FalconHood! Those are very good "toys!" Very durable!
Looks like the Fatboys (we call the Bandai M7 valkd that coz they have very thick profiles in fighter mode) are back in town! ;D

I also have the Bandai versions. Had a KO version of the Stealth also of MUCH poorer quality than the real deal. Bandai's updated version is the best with painted-on detailing instead of stickers.

yeah, this is the updated, and there were no stickers. SO, is THAT the only dif? i was so worried i was just getting another bootleg, since the packaging was different...it was actually more like the original Valkyries, having the toy come in Jet Mode, not robot mode

Just to get things straight, the authentic ones are the ones with boxes that sit horizontal and have Bandai logo's right? I have those, and compared to any other series valk to date, these are by far the worst in quality. Not to steal the thunder from you haul, just because I don't like them, just my honest, humble opinion.

yup, nothing beats the real thing... I bet the original versions or these will be really affordable now since Bandai inundated us with re-ishes. Imagine the people who bought the original 1/55 elintseekers & super osterich are feelin'!

I didn't say they are better than other bandai macross lines, just better than BOOTLEG versions. i'm not happy that they are all plastic. but they are sturdy. Imagine the people who bought the original 1/55 elintseekers & super osterich are feelin'! i don't get that, since i buy to play and enjoy, not to make a profit. i am trying to think of a time i can relate to that. i mean, i bought CarRobot OP for $50, and was annoyed that the USA version was $15, 2 years later. But, i bought them because i didn't think they were coming to the USA. Is that what you mean? It sounded like you meant they cost the same as the re-issue, but weren't as RARE.

No, my comment was an observatory statement & not a knock on you... The price of the original 1/65 fire valk has dropped dramatically over the years due to the re-ish and I'm relating that to those who have bought the 1/55 elints & superOs of recent time only to find out that they will be reissued as well. So your patience has paid off in your buy.

oh! i got my bomber about 5 years ago on Clearance from BBTS for just $50. so, that was good timing there, i guess. i paid about the same price as the yen price on the bar-code for Fire Valk. Now, when i got the reissue Bandai original type of Macross Valks (that are JUST like TF G1 Jetfire) for $20, THAT was a true great deal!
