Is anybody getting one?
This one looks nicer than the Fraulein Revoltech figures, IMHO.
I am still holding out to see a review first, though.

I have one and it's fantastic. The Quality is stellar. Only thing is her head isn't as poseable as her hair gets in the way.
All Figma releases have been fantastic, but kind of... girly (at least for me). I hope they'll take on some more masculine licences. I've been buying all the Figmas that involve violence of some type (swords, spears, etc.).
I would also warn about knockoffs... I've been burned by an eBay store from HK.
Make sure it's got a single round sticker sealing the box and a hologram sticker somewhere in the front too.
I don't want to lump all HK ebay sellers in one category, but be wary and maybe PM for some info before buying.

THanks Cedar.
I ended up getting one and was pleasantly surprised by how high the quality was compared to the revoltechs.
I also hold the same "grudge" against figma you do.
Let's hope more "buyable" figures show up in the future!

Woooh, Vic01, I see you have some really hard to find Figmas.... you have limited PS2 edition of Haruhi! Impressive!
And Fate Harlaown...
I just received my Fate T. Harlaown figure today.
My rare figure is the Suzaku Kururugi from Code Geass.

You're welcome, Lanmandragoran.
They will be making Figma "Jojo Bizarre Adventure" figures. So, still a bit fruity, but at least a bit more 'manly.' haha
Also, I just learned today, Diamond will be carrying Figma so may be easier and cheaper for North Americans to own Figma figures. I'm sure their popularity will soar even more. First one will be Miku.

My first Figmas arrived from different sources during the week. As a wise poster noted above, I'm similarly a mecha kind of guy who's not really into a lot of the cuteness that Max Factory had been producing but I wanted to check out the quality of Figma after reading and watching a lot of reviews. So I plumped for a few of the females who looked up for a fight!
Takamachi Nanoha arrived first and I was a little bit disappointed by the sloppy blue outline on her skirt and her frontal hair piece was very loose. I was able to fix this with a Gundam marker and some blue tack. I was happy with her when she was all set up on her excellent stand. I wish Revoltech stands were transparent. The black is so ugly. I'll have to see if Roy's VF1 will fit on the Figma version.
The next day Figma Saber arrived. She was a different matter. Absolutely perfect. Very, very impressed. Even the tiniest details are exceptionally neat for what is quite a small figure. I really like her green eyes and the expression on the 2nd of the 3 faces, you know, the "not raging but pretty annoyed" look. Couple that with the slightly windswept hairpiece ( no looseness this time ) and she's one fine figure.
I'll really have to check out the anime. Great figures always make me want to know about the characters. Decided to purchase Figma Rin to go with her!

Figmas are great! Glad you didn't judge the whole series just on Nanoha. I have the same issues you do with her hair. Beware of bootlegs too, there are some on eBay. Make sure you buy from Japan sellers or sellers who specifically state it is authentic.
Btw, figures based on the anime Gantz are coming soon.
Rin Tohsaka is fantastic. Like you, I have no idea about the anime or stories, but these cool figures make me want to check them out.

Hi Cedar, I read about the Gantz figmas but I'm not sure if they are going to coming as part of an exclusive dvd set rather than the regular releases? The prototype looks excellent. I'm assuming the girl on the right of the bottom picture is her?

Oh dear, if it's an exclusive release, will prolly mean retail will go up. Whatever the format, I'll be getting them though! I got the excellent PS2 exclusive Haruhi figure and will be getting the new exclusive Saber figure when it comes out (where she is wearing a white outfit).
I am so happy with the quality of Figma I'll happily buy them all (except for the 'cute' school girls... I'll still buy the sword wielding school girls). ;D

Think I'll make an effort to pick that up.
