Are they rubber? I couldn't determine exactly what they are. They don't have that standard squishy rubber feel, but they don't have the hard plastic feel, either. It's almost like a really hard rubber. Whatever they are, they look good, they're evenly balanced and they roll nicely, so that's what's important. I guess you're right, they were made pretty nice! I think it is hard rubber but can be squeezed. Or possibly made of PVC, either way, Im glad it is not hard plastic. vic01

Got mine today! Amazing piece. The transformation is genius. I like all the nice little touches like the hidden compartment in the left foot that rotates out of the way, the sliding panels on the feet, how the arms are hidden in the lower legs, how the outside panels become the inner leg panels, how the torso transforms and how the front of the trailer splits in 2 to move toward the back to hide the wheels... sick! And the plethora of accessories is awesome too.

That reminds me I still have to set up the base and arsenal stand. Haven't even taken them out of the package yet (too busy playin with Daimos!). I LOVE that the stand is long enough to accomodate Tranzer mode.

Btw, about the tires being plastic... They feel like rubber to me... hard rubber, but still rubber...

I went through all your reviews people, thank you so much and I think for those of you that don't know about the "flexidisplay stand" really should give those a try. Don't use the light and sharp plastic Gundam base for launching up the Daimos leg. Strangely enough if you leave a toy on the flexi stand for a long while, those rubber cups on the tips of the flexi stand will leave some trace of rubber on the toy; but it can be rubbed off. Anyone else encounter this problem?
Oh and I read your City commander review too, megatroptimus, that's great, I read about how people having difficulty bending Magnus' head down because the joint is too tight, that's what got me worry. And just like Daimos, I still haven't receive neither one!! Temujen, Andy replied to me a long while ago that they'll be in this week. I guess they still haven't arrived.
Vic01, how many of those base have you purchased? I only got 2 and I find it awfully expensive to build up a giant base that covers just a portion of my beloved vehicles..

Yeah, Kotobukiya Mechanical chain base is expensive for just a base. Costs $8-$15. Mine is number 9 and 10. It is good to make a big one, but really expensive. You can make as big as you can. Really fits well w/ the different mechas available in the market. Make your own dio hangar. You can get it at ebay, my best bet in online is BBTS, though i've been waiting for the mecha base 1-4 to arrive, been months they still don't have it on stock. vic01

how stable is the toy? how tight are the joints? He feels very balanced and solid when standing at a neutral pose and also in many action poses. I don't think he can stand on his own for that big kick pose but I haven't tried it yet. The joints are all very tight on mine, but not too tight. The shoulders are nice metal ratchets and everything else is rotating and hinge joints. The head and hands are simple ball/socket joints. The hips probably should have been ratchets, but so far they don't seem to be a problem because they are quite solid. Hmmm... Its unfortunate that Bandai didn't use much ratchet joints on Daimos, especially on the hip to support/minimize wear for some high kicks and extreme posing. Still not too sure if this is the right gokin for me. The diecast ratchets in Gunbuster & Baikanfu got me spoiled, I supposed.
