This is one of the very few SOC's that I wish I have 2 of... I would love to have Daimos in both robot and truck modes.
The only other SOC that I wish to have double copies is Gunbuster. This is my favorite SOC, love the robot and 2 ship modes.
Both of these robots are so complex to transform. So challenging that I've only transformed them once... Love the challenge though.

some people are saying that the SOC Daimos is difficult to transform... actually it was only difficult to transform only because you do not want to scratch the robot... but I think it is fairly easy :-)

I think it's really easy, too. The first time transforming it I had a problem with opening the legs, but that's because I was tired and not thinking.
I was sad to not see Daimos on the CollectionDX TOTY polls. GodMarz looks like he'll be the winner. While I LOVE Godmarz, I actually prefer Daimos.

I prefer the truck mode of Daimos than its robot mode.
And yes, Daimos is better than Daimos.

And yes, Daimos is better than Daimos. That might be going a little far. I think Daimos is equally as good as Daimos, but I wouldn't say he's better.

Hi Eriku... That's hilarious. I meant to say that Daimos is better than Godmarz

Nah, no difference just ones sold in Hong Kong come with a little extra gift like a keychain or those plastic cubes.

Does the soc daimos scale well with the soc volt v?
does the pilot of the volt cruiser look like it will conceivably fit in the tryper car or the jet(forgot the name) from the soc daimos?

I know that the pilot is molded to the cockpit. i'm just a scale freak- just wanted to know if the pilots/cockpits of of the 2 SOCs are more or less in scale with each other.

now that this thread is slowly dying...what do you think bandai could have done to improve the daimos? I mean what do you think...(studying your own daimos soc)-- that maybe bandai could have possibly done it/ to improve the daimos? design wise...

I'm actually still pretty well satisfied with my Daimos. It has a wonderful sculpt, fantastic paint work, all the articulation I need, and a transformation that is fun and mostly intuitive. Maybe they could have done something to solve the paint scraping problem, but that hasn't happened on mine so I'm not sure what a solution would be.
An early complaint I had was the arms fitting into tranzer mode, but I'm of the opinion now that it was more of a case of me doing it wrong than it was a problem with the design.
About all I can think of is maybe enlarge the wrist pegs that the hands snap onto. I haven't had a problem, nor have I ever heard of them breaking, but they are pretty thin and I'm always quite cautious when changing hands.

my wish would be built in hands, waist articulation, steel chest. gundam groin flaps to avoid the weird leg break articualtion. arms should go inside the upper body.
