All the photos are equally awesome in my eyes, though the guy does illustrated great ps skills; and we've great chart here! I must have overlooked about the plastic tires issue -
maybe Bandai is preventing prolonged tranzer display leading to rubber tires breakage? That is really sad, but I found myself happier by the minute from ordering Daimos! As for the scratching I wonder there's any way to prevent it. Would putting tape underneath the covers work? Though it might leave tape marks after a while.....
I love those "manly" gatling guns.

All the photos are equally awesome in my eyes, though the guy does illustrated great ps skills; and we've great chart here! Here here! The pictures are awesome, both Roboto's and that ToysDaily dude! On the other hand though, the good pics just make me dislike this toy even further. Aside from the plastic tires, and the scratches out of the box, the knee joints aren't too flattering, and that Goldmember thigh joint...shudder! I didn't think of it that way, but then again most of us who'll probably just buy 1, will probably put it in Robot mode. So the tires shouldn't really be in danger. I mean, the treads on my Getter 3 and Getter Poseidon are fine after being displayed for a long time. Adhesives might leave chemicals on the surface of the toy which can damage it, make things worse. I guess the only option is to be extremely careful when transforming. Anywhoo, I've seen it through these excellent pictures, but it's not for me. Maybe down the line-if someone will sell for a cheap price. he he he he

Photo taken from Toysdaily. It looks like the TD guy just used an ordinary translucent acrylic container to store all the accessories (or perhaps that is the Hong Kong exclusive gift set item). The GX-43 has it's own display case. Sorry... I got too lazy to photograph the actual display case. I'll let others do this job. The photo of the instruction sheet will do for now. Page 11

Awesome . I figured that the display stand would hold all the accessories (history has shown it to be the case with SOCs) but it's always nice to have confirmation. RE: Plastic tires - I have no problem at all with the lack of rubber tires, myself. I've had too many toys and figures over the years with rubber tires that have cracked and disintegrated.

Damn! No offense, Gold, but if roboto keeps up doing reviews like this he might just give you a run for your money. The photos are awesome roboto. Keep up the great work. Maybe the admins could create a special thread for your reviews of all the SOCs. That would be wicked helpful.;D Thanks for commending my photo review, temujen. However, I just want to set the record straight that I am in no way trying to compete with Gold or anyone else. I respect the hard work that Gold puts in each of his toy reviews. In fact, I'm one RJ member who's in total support of Gold with his new position as an RJ moderator. Actually, Gold has given me inspiration with ideas on toy photo reviews. He is really meticulous with every detail. For example, he actually rewatches episodes of the anime and Super Robot War game clips to tie any relevant info with each release of an SOC super robot. He even puts SOCs on a scale to compare the differences in weight. Moreover, I'm totally blown away with his group and comparison photos of SOCs with the latest release. It takes a lot of time and effort to take each SOC from the display case or boxes and pose each one. I don't even have the patience to take pictures of all the gimmicks on a new SOC release. In contrast with Gold, I do a half-arse job. On the other hand, I think the one thing Gold and I have in common, along with other fellow RJ members, is that we love collecting SOCs. The only advantage I have is location. Taiwan is close to Japan and Hong Kong. Moreover, 112 to 81 miles across the Taiwan Strait is Mainland China. Sometimes the new toy releases are shipped directly from Chinese factories to Taiwan, so oftentimes locals here get their SOCs before most people on this board get theirs. In any case, I'm sure Gold and everyone else will get their GX-43 Daimos soon enough and post their own photos and comments which I'm eagerly waiting for. In the meantime, I'm hoping to benefit fellow RJ members about what to watch out for with the new SOC release just as some of you have done for me in the past when you got your SOC before I bought mine. Well, I'm glad I'm part of the RJ forum. It has given me a venue to share and discuss my toy hobby interest with fellow toy collectors from around the world.

That explains why most of the Daimos' on Ebay are from Taiwan. Mine just left Taiwan today. (more props for Ebay seller Correlations!) And I probably speak for most people here when I say I appreciate EVERYONE's reviews. Hi-res pics, low-res pics, short words, long paragraphs, it's all good stuff to read and it's awesome to get different views. There always seems to be something one person points out that another person missed or didn't bother mentioning. The biggger SOC toys are a major purchase for a lot of people (something I always have to save up for) so the more information we can research the better!

Man that toy is amazing, I can live with the scratches and stuff cuz it's just a toy for me and not a investment in my kids college fund (if I had kids I mean lol). But I'm so surprised that we haven't had the Nagahama trilogy pic yet with Voltes and Com-Battler? ??

Thanks a lot!!! Now that's what I'm talking about, they look so good together! I think it's because Daimos breaks up the predominant blue/red/silver colour scheme of Voltes and Com-Battler

All photos so far are awesome! Roboto's pics and review are awesome! Man, I need a better set-up....more photo skillz....and I need DAIMOS!!! ;D
BTW: Maybe the paint scratches on the plastic can be covered up pretty well with a gundam marker? And the scratches on diecast can also be touched up because it's mostly on the edges?

That's like the very first wide side kick pose someone every did since Daimos' release!... And where is that Zohan kick?? Here is another pose idea lol I need to have Daimos in hand to know what to say about the tires, as with the avoiding-the-scratching technique..

BTW: Maybe the paint scratches on the plastic can be covered up pretty well with a gundam marker? And the scratches on diecast can also be touched up because it's mostly on the edges? Several local collecters also bought their GX-43 when it was released last Friday and got to fiddle with the toy while holed up at home during Typhoon Jangmi. So far there are lots of reports and complaints about scratches and the finicky transformation process. Anyway, I went to pick up some paint supplies to see what I can do with the tiny nick on the upper leg cover's red paint of my GX-43 Diamos. I bought MR. HOBBY/GUNZE SANGYO paint and thinner. I chose Mr. COLOR 3 RED (gloss) and Mr. COLOR GX3 HERMANN RED (gloss). I already have a GUNDAM MARKER GM07 RED. I used all three different red paint to apply on a white plastic sprue which simulates the upper leg covers white plastic base. Notice how the Gundam marker is flat and has more of an orange tinge. When soaked in thinner, the Gundam marker dissolves quicker and is more orange than red. The darker red is Mr. COLOR 3 Red. As you can see, the MR. COLOR GX3 HERMANN RED closely matches the GX-43's red paint. Photo taken with flash. I applied more of the GX3 HERMANN RED on the sprue, and I'd say it's about a ninety percent match with the paint on the GX-43. I haven't tried Tamiya's acrylic or enamel red paint, but I'm sticking with MR. COLOR. I think Japanese Gunpla modellers use it more than Tamiya, and you know who makes Gunpla models - Bandai! All photos so far are awesome! Roboto's pics and review are awesome! Man, I need a better set-up....more photo skillz....and I need DAIMOS!!! ;D This is my fancy photo set up. I don't think you'll be too interested to know what camera I use. It's a 2.0 mega pixels Sony Cyber-shot that my girlfriend bought six years ago. I never bothered to upgrade since I'm always buying toys. The only problem I have is when I want to take far distance photos of show girls at trade fairs, especially during comic or toy exhibitions. On the other hand, the quality of my camera gives me an excuse to get closer to the ladies. Photos I took at the 9th Comic Exhibition in Taipei. I so regret not having upgraded my camera when I took this photo.Man, I think the thinner has gotten to my head.

Whoa, great review Roboto! Great pics and awesome stuff! I don't think even I'm that meticulous when it comes to writing reviews. Great work! I just Daimos a day ago in Hongkong, I hope to take a crack at it when I get home to Manila. Thanks for the warnings on the scratches. I just hope they're avoidable. BTW guys, the Hong Kong item for the Daimos is the same as the Reideen, a crystal cube with Daimos' face etched into the core (no LED base though) . I'll try to have pics up soon. Also, I could be wrong but I think Daimos is shorter than Voltes and Combattler (I don't have them on hand with me at the moment so I can't do an exact comparison). But it really stands out on a display shelf. A branch of Animate had it next to Reideen, Ideon and Dancougar and it really looks stunning next to the others. Gold

Nice job Roboto. I got a question. Have you figured out which particular part was sticking out that caused the scratch? Is there any way to trim this down? Thanks.

Woah, I got another question for ya: is taiwan a usually " good " sight-seeing place to live in? * wink wink * Don't bother to upgrade camera, get camcorder!
And I rather trim anything than to repaint it...
