I am new to modeling. However, I really want to do something time consuming and cool. So, my question is where is the cheapest place to order a perfect grade kit in the US? Any help is appreciated.

That would depend largely on which kit you are looking for(strike, zero, mk-II, etc.). However, if you are new to modeling I would recommend you purchase an older MG kit or two for some practice.

I've done some modeling before. So, it's not like I'm completely new to it. Perhaps I could start with a Master grade. I just think if I'm going to spend $40-$60 on a MG, I might as well spend a little more and get the best of the best but who knows.

Hey Pts I would recommend you start out with a MG kit before you tackle a PG. Only in the fact that the way you put together both is relatively the same. You just have twice to three times the parts in a PG. if you have had past experience the gundam kits are par none in basic quality and buildability.
I agree with Zmmptet you should get a rx-78 or zaku II to start out my first PG was the strike with the sky grasper and it took me two months to build it it took me 5 days to put together the Zaku II
Also start with any MG made after 03, any of the Ver 2.0's and the seed stuff

Actually the newer Master Grades are thought to be equally if not more complicated then the Perfect Grades.

I've built both the mg strike freedom and the pg rx-78-2. Trust me, the pg is more complex

At least get first a MG. Finish it, then get your hands dirty w/ a PG. ;D
Strike Gundam is very recommended though I never have a PG.

Really they are not very hard to put together at all, they just take longer. My first was PG Wing gundam, took me a week or so to finish and he cost a lot o money at the time. The only thing that can get tricky are the lighting mechanisims.
Also, PGs are around 12' tall compared to the 6' MG (most kits anyways)
In some ways the PGs are easier to build and require far less paitning and they are sturdier then MG's, though most MGs these days are pretty sound.
wonder what the next gundam is that will make the PG cut....... I vote for Gundam Strike Noir

If you have a lot of spare time, then buy a Perfect Grade...took me 2 months working weekends and nights building my first PG...and you need a large work area to lay out the parts....Good luck on your first PG kit!

Just Get right into it and build a PG Zeta. I have bought some MG's on eBay from Animeking for a pretty decent price, it's a US seller and they ship pretty fast.

Uhhh, back to the original question ;D. Best place to get Perfect Grade Gundams is Ebay. Just make sure you choose a reliable seller with good feedback. Be sure to compare shipping prices as well as some are from overseas and some just charge a rediculous amount and offsetting it with a low unit price. But Ebay is definately the cheapest place to find stuff. =D If you'd rather go with an online store, it would come down to which PG you want. You need to compare prices and here are some of the good places. US www.tisinc99.comwww.gundamstoreandmore.comwww.hobbywave.comOverseas www.amiami.jp/shop?set=englishwww.hlj.com

well if you want the best of the best then go with either Strike/astray red frame or GP01, imo the best PG's out there, building a PG is the same building any other kit, the diference is you have a lot more pieces than a MG

but the pieces are bigger than MG, so i find it easier to build, but they take longer.
