Seems awful fishy, but I don't know why the other bidder didn't just save time and enter 1K euro if he was just going to take it back anyway.

I don't trust auctions like that when the bidders have usernames like that... A***D , K***K and so on. THis is why sometimes having it be free to join ebay is a bad thing jerks mass produce ebay usernames just to bid up there items.

THis is why sometimes having it be free to join ebay is a bad thing jerks mass produce ebay usernames just to bid up there items. it is ebay new system that Protects and hides bidder user ids...these are actual real bidders BUT ebay changed their policy about showing the ame of each bidder...so do NOT misunderstand the seller!!!!!!! he has nothing to do with that! if the bidder user ids are shown as G***K or 1***B even your own user id if you are bidding on any ebay item, it will be shown as this to us (meaning the other bidders and watchers) and ONLY the seller can see the bidders ids.

Seems awful fishy, but I don't know why the other bidder didn't just save time and enter 1K euro if he was just going to take it back anyway. I believe if he did that, the bid would revert back to the one before the 1K euro. He bid it up in small increments until he just hit/surpassed the winners max bid. When he retracted his final bid, it kept all his others, so the winner had to pay his max price. I have bought from that seller before without such issue, so I don't want to drag down his rep without solid proof. Could just be a bidder that got PO'd he couln't go as high as it went and wanted to get back at the winner, who knows, but does look suspicious. Anyway, this is why I almost never bid high/my max until the last momets of the auction - prevents that type of thing from happening.

What I meant was that after he established the real bidder's highest bid, he could then go back and enter the same amount, thereby saving time. Same results.

Reminds me of one scheme I've seen.....evil doers get two accounts, one to win and one to protect the auction with a super high bid. The protection account bids up the auction to a rediculious amount, with the help of ID #2.
When things are about to end you pull the bids from your "protection" account that keeps people away from the auction.
The second ID is used to simultaniously bid and win after the retraction....
If everyone is scared off, then the toy is won under market value.
P.S. This Queen C toy is pretty rare in minty condition.

The listing has been removed. So, ya, probably not legit. I would block a bidder if s/he places multiple bids in small increments. It does look very bad.
