Hmm, I don't think Assemble Borg is a limited production run, just limited distribution. That is, I think Kaiyodo will keep making the figures to meet demand, like with the re-release of some of the Yamaguchi series figures. That said, I suppose nothing last forever...

Has anyone heard anything about release dates for the AB villains and additional vehicles? I was kinda expecting something to come out on the 15th, but...nothing. I found this image on the AB blog, but no release info that I could find. I really like the quirky purple, and I'm not sure why...maybe it's reminding me of the packaging on the old Real Ghostbusters figures from my childhood. The head design is outstanding too, IMO. Not so sure about the more organic look on the motorcycle though...

Funny you should bump this thread, I was just about to finally add some images a couple hours back, but I was distracted by the wife for awhile....heh...yeah...distracted... Anyway, I believe that the motorcycle pictured there is a kitbash of the current Speeder and one of the upcoming bad guys. I assume the one pictured on the right...I'd also assume the Barrels Speeder of the next two waves...I'd assume... ...the right arm, extra arms, various hands, torso part (shoulders), they're are all there. It also looks like they resculpted the lower legs of the basic figure. There's also the organic/bionic bad guy sword...they definitely appear to have given everything an increasingly smooth and organic/bionic look... The newer mini catalog has an actual image of the three guys on the top of the left side of that image, which means that we are still getting more mechanical bionic parts. SO, either way, I think that it will make for some interesting combinations. With how the earlier stuff turned out (I can't get enough of it, still haven't built half of what I've wanted to) I'm confident that the new stuff will be fantastic as well. On that note, I am monitoring the AssembleBorg Site (and shop) for developments, so I'll let everyone know if I see anything. I'll bet we see the next round on the AB shop about 2-3 months before any product actually makes it as far as stateside, and I'd expect there to be no international general release and therefore for prices to be just as high as the last two rounds. Of course, all of this is mere speculation, we have no idea IF any further Assemble Borg toys are made...I would think so, but I really don't know how well they've sold...I'd assume well, but who knows with the limited availability and all...and the fact that they appear to still be available on the SB shop site...this could be a case where bad distro ruins a fantastic property with huge potential... In closing for now I'll drop some more of the long list of images I have. Does anyone have a problem if I post more images of the catalogs (I have both the older and newer one scanned) here for now until I get a more permanent home for my images on line? Man, I have to get some sleep...

man that mecha the bike turns into is sweet!! who knows how these are doing, I thought well but I dunno any real numbers. Of course, if they didnt sell well then there wont be much incentive to continue the line obviously and unfortunately. Or maybe this will lead them to opening thier doors to international distribution, at least to clear stock, and if we buy them like crazy we can revitalize the line!! oh the dreams.
but seriously the bad guys are like acroyman (however you spell it) while they look infintely better then the microman, you cannot doubt the uncanny resemblence. Maybe there are some legal issues with microman......hmmmmmm.
In any case I am not digging the bio weapons at all (though it looks like the bio bike can transform as well you can see signs of feet and a hand!). but that is one bad a$$ bike right there!
Glad you were able to finally load some pics phoenix, there are some cool combinations there. kinda makes me wish i didnt pass these guys up as they are very hard to find now.....the complete line anyway...

No Mechaleleng, I didn't forget about him, he just wasn't relevant to that particular post. There's actually a handful of additional images with unreleased figures in them. All of which I would love to have. The TriStriker is one of my most desired items though, it has been ever since the first prototype images surfaced. I'm just left wondering if and when we will see anything more from AB...
As for the new motorcycle MechaMasterJ, compare the image that I posted of the Doom Diver, to the image of the bike, outside of a few parts that are from the Barrels Speeder kit (wheels, front forks, and rear forks), the bike largely consists of pieces from the Doom Diver kit. So, yeah, it is intended to "transform" into a mecha...
I have this strange feeling that we're not going to see more AB until later this year...late 3rd quarter or early 4th. I know that sounds like a long time off, but from a production standpoint, that would leave room for the first few waves of the 3.0 relaunch and completion of the Fist of the North Star line (assuming that Kokuoh-Go is the end as appaears to be the case), before setting up and running another couple waves of AB figures...only time will tell though...

Just a quick update. Looks like the Aborg Jarknoid figure(s) will be up for preorder next week. At least that's what it looks like. The only part of the message I can read effectively is "2009.4.25 OPEN!" The Aborg site changed the flash movie to feature one of the new villains. It looks to be Jarknoid XO. Check it out. www.assembleborg.com/01_blastoff/index.htmlNew blog pics too! assembleborg.dtiblog.com/

Nice catch! I noticed this a couple days back...haven't had time to post...was going to try to get to it today...now I don't have to...
But, yeah, it does appear that the AB site will have them up for order (or pre-order) shortly...
I just wonder if this is like the first round where it will be a couple of months beyond the initial solicitations before they start to ship...and then another couple weeks before they will make it to the proxy services and/or stateside retailers...
I would assume so since this is their MO, but who knows...
Fortunately, my collection is all caught up just having received Enkidudu and Xan (outside of a few rare exclusives that I'm not really sure about picking up anyway)...and I've been planning ahead financially for the next wave (since I now know what to expect)...AND my wife is happy that I've been having so much fun with these (easily the most "played with" items in my Revoltech collection). So I'm all ready to go when the pre-orders start hitting...
Hopefully sometime today I'll have time to share some more images of 1st and 2nd wave AB creations...been trying to get around to it for a couple weeks now...**sigh**

The new AB site is up, the old one is also back in place, with an image near the bottom that links to the new site. The store is also open at the new site with the four new figures listed, but here's the link directly to the new MeteoRaiders site... assembleborg.com/02_meteoraiders/shop/index.htmlIt looks like this wave is going to be backwards from the first wave, with the larger figure ("Doom Diver") being released in the second (4th overall) wave. It also appears that Doom Diver will not be as expensive as the Barrels Speeder was. I can't wait to see more images of the accessories and optional parts for the next two wave though as I'm hoping that the colors are more in line with the previous two waves. In all of the earlier images shown they appear to be a darker metallic color which will make them even less aesthetically compatible with the first two waves parts. Especially when you consider that they are already much more organic looking than the first two waves were...

Damn, man! I really hope I have some money by the time these come out. Seriously! LOL! So, did anybody sign up for the newsletter "ASSEMBLE_MESSENGER"? Issue 14 just hit m inbox this morning and has all the info on the new stuff. Well, I completely blew it off untill now. Thanks for the info, phoenixx! I'm totally looking forward to the next couple waves. And when do we get to see guys like Ghost Gunner, Sonic Slasher and Panzer Puncher? As well as the new enemies like Torture Mania, Acid Worm, and Devils Blood!

So, did anybody sign up for the newsletter "ASSEMBLE_MESSENGER"? Guilty as charged. Phoenixx has been so fast with updating the board with their info though, it's almost unnecessary!

Assemble Borg Secret Note v01 pamphlet to be found here: rapidshare.com/files/230416257/Assemble_Borg_Secret_Note_v01.cbrTwo ways to deal with this file after download: 1. CDisplay program: www.geocities.com/davidayton/CDisplay.html2. Rename the file changing the extension from .cbr back to .rar and unpack the archive with your favorite archive tool (e.g. winrar, winzip, 7-zip, Stuffit Expander, unrar, etc). Inside it's just a pile of jpegs that you can view any way you like. I found the back cover unusually interesting. I am still hoping that this line finds wider distribution for international sales at a lower cost.
