How rare is the Popy Mach Baron tin and popularity?

on a scale of 1-10 of popy tin rarity..it is a 6.5... In terms of popularity among zenmai collectors a 7 maybe. It sells in a range of 300-600 depending on the condition. 400 is fair market value.

I used to have one. ;-)

Josh is the man to know about this stuff. I would say D17 is the most rare of the popy zenmai followed by MB. What do you think J?

A boxed Mach Baron recently sold on ebay for $350.

Rarity: This is just based on what I see. Top 10. IMHO

Popy only, as Bullmark is a whole other realm of insanity.

1.Barom 1 (most people don't even know it exists, By far to me the most beautiful popy zenmai.)
2.Ultraman Ace (window boxed usually)
3.Daidenjin (MIB)
4.Daitetsujin 17(MIB)
5.Mazinger Z (MIB) window box or rarer standard box.
6.Mach Baron(MIB)
7.Combattler(MIB)
8.Voltus(MIB)
9.Reideen(MIB)
10. Tetsujin 28 1980(MIB)


When you get to the 8-10 range...it is debatable. This is based on what I see. The Getta 1 and he Great Mazinga are most common,but that does not mean less expensive. Mach baron does not pull that much compared to say either a Voltus or Combattler MIB, simply because those characters have such a strong following. It depends on who wants it and how badly they want it that day.
The top 5 are the more difficult to find for sure. I have sadly missed out on at least 3 of the top 5 and do regret it. But price and rarity don't always go hand in hand..it depends alot too on the popularity of the character. Anyway just my two cents.

By the way, I don't own any of the top 10. Finding mint popy zenmai boxes in next to impossible,so it is slow going..I have better luck with Bullmark, as their boxes were far better made.

Ah! Barom one! I totally spaced that one. I just don't even consider that one as I've only seen it sold once. I use that Figure OH as a reference for the tins. Isn't there an Ultraman as well?? Anyway, I'll go with J10's list. I don't own a MIB popy zenmai. I didn't even think it was possible, as those boxes are super crappy..

Also, Barom One has been playing on late night access here in San Francisco. It's a totally crazy show... Two kids combine to form Barom one. I recently saw ep 14 which has all of the enemies... Dudes, these guys were on LSD fo sho~!!

Yes there is a Ultraman as well. I like the Bullmark Ultraman better proportionally.

and yeah Zenmai popy boxes are a pain..I only have a few true minty ones.
