I have been wondering for sometimes why my Mekanda Gassin has blue shoulders while all other Mekanda Gassin(s) I have seen so far has black shoulders (as depict in the outer box) : 1. My Mekanda toy (with blue shoulders)  2. My Mekanda outer box (with black shoulders)  Can someone enlighten me about the difference? tx |

I recall seeing this variation only one other time. I noted that the anime DOESN'T have blue shoulders....
That said, I love the aesthetics.

The blue shouders are out there and are showing up more and more these days.. Both in the DX box and in the individual boxes. The blue arms do seem to command some serious loot compared to the black ones. Maybe $200 more or so. We haven't really figured out how and/or why they were different or which ones came first, but if we do you will be the first to know (check www.toyboxdx.com/datafiles/data/bullmark/page2.php). Anyway, mine are black. Duban has both colors and there seems to be no variance in the boxes to suggest an earlier printing etc., that he's told me about at least. So, as far as anyone knows they are just different versions. IE, the factory had blue paint on hand as opposed to black that week. It's really as simple as that... E |
