I've seen them for sale in the U.S. and with condition problems I'd say our local market would be well under $200. This is just my educated guess.

Ed's about on the money. I would say closer to $250 in box. Unfortunately yours is missing the vinyl head and shoulders which is a key piece to the toy. Mine is packed away otherwise I would take a pic for you although you can see it here in the upper left corner:

Not necessarily. If you like it, then who cares? But it does help to know what the heck you're bidding on before jumping in! In the future, you might want to consider contacting someone privately (to avoid unwanted competition) who might be familiar with it. I don't mind helping out if you need some info or advice. I'm sure Ed wouldn't, either.

That seller on YJ has some key items in the past month..I missed out on a few myself and got outbid. Prices fluctuate... Alot. Prices for tins in the US are generally lower when it comes to the standard Zenmai, and condition issues are not looked upon as negatively in the Japanese market (i said market) But 90 bucks is not a waste really...your Diapolon toy has hit above 500 mib. It depends on who wants what when. ;-) There are a handful of choice Bullmark and Popy tin zenmai that will always be in the stratosphere in terms of price. If you can find those in less than steller shape, and can love the toy, then it is a win/win. It is a good start to a daunting category to get into. even after years of hunting them down, I am confounded by the general lack of logic to what sells and for what. And I am additionally limited by the obsession I have in finding ones with c10 boxes...Lol. Good luck.
