Hey, I just aquired what I think is a Daitarn Knockoff. It's in an English window box hallmarked "Sunrise"This peice is indistinguishable from the Clover DX in every way I can see incl.the acess.and the diecast content of the bot.The only diff.are1)no graphic insert2)gokin is hallmarked "sunrise Repuplic of Taiwan"Either this is the best knockof I've ever seen,or it was liscensed ala Pentabot to Royal Condor.Everything is identical to the Clover as far as I can see.I Paid $70.00 and I regularly see these same "Playsets"go for around$150.00MIB.Anybody know the deal on this?

ah ok, that's right! this is a bot (taiwan) version as you said. So, for d ;Daitarn III the price is always close to 150 USD and more for reasons you told: this is the same as the other versions (not including white legs), no differences (only some colors of the sticks I think) and so, is the same to see this one or the japanese one (I post you the mine - japanese version) in your cabinet... and it's cheaper ;D ;D

p.s. 70 USD is a good price for a boxed daitarn with all those accessories. only styrofoam is not good

Yes 70$ are a good price for a d3 also if 1984sunrise version...
The most expensive version is the CHANGE box version with the toy with white plastic joints on the upper part of the legs.

I just asked a reliable Taiwanese vintage Japanese robot toy collector about this Daitarn 3. Anyway, he said that the production of this Daitarn 3 version was sourced to a Taiwan company just like many other Popy/Chogokin toys were produced in Malaysia and Singapore.

Hey Roboto,Thank you so much. It's a little delayed but I had my dsl.line cut.I just saw a nice mib.Clover on YJ.for like 10,000yen or so,problem is it looks like the leased gokin in the box,the thighs arent white. All the acess.are there and it's all minty mint.I wonder if he knows,The Japanese sellers are generally extremely honest.
