The votes are in and the next fundraw is to create a robot design based on your screen name. This fundraw will also be a competition for a prize. Its a very simple idea, but it will be a challenging contest. As always creativity is a big plus. You can use any medium, and it can be colored, or monotone, pencils or pen, water-color or photoshop. You can also include backgrounds, landscapes, battle/action scenes, weapons or no weapons, it's all up to you! You are THE Creator! This Fun-Draw will run starting today, up until 25-December-2008. Post all of your entries in this thread, or if you have questions about the topic, we'd be happy to help you out! You've got lots of time to think of your design and what to base it on. |

I think I'll take a stab at this. I'm certainly no artist (to say the least), but I think I have some good ideas for my drawing, so I'll participate in my first fundraw. Woohoo!
So does it have to be a single drawing, or can it be a couple smaller sketches that support a central theme?

Not really. You just have to make a creation that can be represented by your screen name. This is a very open fundraw in that respect depending on your name. For example, if your screen name is your name, then you could do a robotic version of yourself or an alter ego. Cyborgs and androids are acceptable as well as long as some robot bits are shown. If you make a humanoid robot of yourself that looks almost like a person, it does need to show a sign of robotics somewhere. maybe an open panel, or plugged into a data bank or changing system. Maybe even doing repairs.

I guess what I meant was that there was a main robot / picture, but because of the scale, I was going to do call-outs or smaller pics of things like the pilot and support vehicle. They are all integral to the central theme.

I am trying to keep from making a Ice version of the MK1 Iron man or iron giant. I need to apply the iron part of my name in a different way.
