To the best of my knowledge, December's Revoltech entries are supposed to be Enkidudu and "Black Gainer." Dudu makes total sense (if maybe feeling a little derivative), but Black Gainer seems to come out of nowhere. It's obviously a relative of Overman King Gainer, but I've never seen it before. Does it ever show up in the anime? If not, does anyone know what he comes from? SRW maybe? So far, this is the only image I have: Youtube isn't much help...I found a bunch of videos about belly fat (WTF?). Google searches keep getting jumbled with Black Getter and lead nowhere. I have to say, I'm intrigued and looking forward to the release.

The sign by his foot says "The first original", so I'm guessing it's an original design by Yamaguchi and possibly Akiman (who designed Gainer in the first place). Also, apparently it's part of Revoltech Yamaguchi 3.0... so let's see what they add to the mix, and if this is any indication lets see some more originals!!
Also, to note, Yamaguchi is also doing the upcoming Zangief revoltech in the Street Fighter line, can't wait for that!

i looked and search but to no avail. This exclusive "DArk Oberman" might indeed be an original alternative design by yamaguchi.

Aw, man... looks like it is.
Black Gainer is going to be mail away with January's Dengeki Hobby and Enkidodo with Figure Ou No. 130. That's not the only bad news... they didn't show any new Revo Yamaguchi's at the Revo Expo, which means it might be a little while before we see new additions to the line...but hopefully not.

Wh-what??!? Noooo~! This would be the first time a new figure is an exclusive. So far it's only been repaints and a new gun for black Shin Getter. I think it's time for a new thread to discuss the future of Revoltech. Yamaguchi, why hast thou forsaken us?

Wasn't the first revoltech or at least an early one a mag special. The yellow translucent Eva. It was fairly plentiful and not too over priced. I would have liked to see this figure mass produced though since I prefer to the OG version. With that slick paint job I am afraid this one will go the way of the WF Gurren.

Yeah, clear EVA 00 was the first exclusive. Wikipedia lists it at 5/24/06, which is a little more than a week after the first Revos were released. So I guess it did come out before the regular EVA 00.
But the clear EVA was actually packed in with the magazine, which makes it a lot easier to get a hold of. I believe the clear yellow rifle to go with it was a mail-in, and is pretty hard to find.
I guess if Black Gainer is packed in with a magazine, it won't be so bad. But the mail-ins usually go for at least double the usual price of a Revoltech, as soon as they come out. Not cool.
Do we know how he's going to be distributed, or just the magazine he comes with?
