OK. Something that I've wanted to know for some time. Does anyone have a good explaination between the version 1 and other versions of Popy's Mazinga chogokin (Japanese)?
I recall seeing details that I couldn't translate in a collector book.
I know there is more to the answer than just knee stickers and jet pack variations.

From Green Arrow, I can see version 1 has it's fist launch buttons lower down on the arms, while version 2 has them higher up towards the shoulders. Also, from a top view, version 1 vs 3, the chest plates are different.
I can PM you a photo of the page if you need it, or post it on here if it doesn't violate copyright blah blah.
That's about all I could tell you as I don't own any version and also don't read Japanese.

Sorry if your on dial up ;D 1 vs 2 - launcher positions 1 vs ? - chest plate variant and of course the scrambler difference Heres an interesting one. I believe its showing 3 vs 4, but it shows Japan vs Hong Kong on the back. Unless its comparing a KO (doubt it, but it would be a really good one). Don't know if this is showing a box side variant or just opposite sides Damn, I wish I could read Japanese

So it looks like the launcher peg is closer to the fist and the chest chevron is smaller in Version 1. Interesting.
There WAS a legit Hong Kong version. SO that is why we see a version 3 with HK on the waist label back.
Thx for the pictures!
It appears the box side has a text marking variation on it. I wonder which is version 1....
