I got my MP VV for $199 with free shipping. And this VV was not a limited release by any means. Gattaiger on the other hand is not as popular as VV, so I do believe that the production numbers will be lower than MP's VV. Also taking into consideration that it comes in a set with the spacer among other accessories, the amount of metal used, the size which I think is going to be as tall as Gin Gin, and the new engineering invested in it, the price sounds about right. And to be honest, everything is going up in price even SOC and SRC figures.

Actually, $200 seems quite reasonable for this Gattaiger set. But recently we got for 220 usd the MP vehicle voltron that is formed of 15 loaded with metal vehicles and standed a good 12" and weigthed a ton !! And was produced by a small company and in limited numbers !! Don't that make you think that this HLPro MT is over priced??? The VV price was very cheap considering,If SOC made it or CMs it would go for at least 3-450$.

Baikanfu went for same price? Daiojah went for 200 usd , I think Bandai price their products just right!

Bandai can price their products right because they are the GM in the toy industry and so can produce large volumes. Comparing Bandai pricing vs a smaller company's pricing is a little unfair.

yeah and each little division inside Bandai has its own "gig".. some of them don't even really have to make profit.. just as long as they "break even" and cover the costs, pay bills and payroll they are happy... the big profits can be made by more mainstream divisions.. not to mention that Bandai is so wrapped up in Japan's internal economy and its banks, its "too big to fail"... Bandai will be around for another 100 years probably. ha ha

This kind of made me think about "what is a good figure and what is something worth?"
I am sitting here looking at my collection and I would say that my "Best figure" overall is my SRC Mazinger. I am real happy to have it but that is not a rare figure, there are many MANY of those in existence... its not "precious". Then I look at my MT Duke Fleed Trike, there are less than 100 of those in the US, its real nice to look at too. So, is the Trike actually my "best" figure?
Then I think about what Mr. J said about King Gori... he said that when that figure first came out, people said it was a piece of junk.. not many King Gori for sale anymore... going price is up to 200 USD depending on how lucky you get because most guys that have him, wont sell him. If I had a King Gori I think I would consider that figure the most "precious" piece in my collection and it is "just a vinyl"...
So, when I look at that Gattiger, I know that it is going to be a good piece and I already know that it is going to be rare.. that Gattiger standing next to my Anime Grendy is going to look great... and imagine that Flying Tiger next to the MT01 Spazer.. its going to look real cool in the display case.

yes,,being a big Grendy fan, im looking forward to having one myself. i was hopping it would be @ GX-04 price range but HL Pro's Gattaiger is a must buy,, unless Bandai will come up with an SRC, which is a longshot, this is a cant miss release.

Hi gang, I'm not entirely sure if this falls under HLPro but I thought I'd share a quick look at High Dream's Koji Kabuto's TFO from UFO Grendizer. This one just popped up at a local shop for roughly $75. I didn't even know this was coming out. Almost entirely diecast, the only plastic pieces that I can tell are the canopy, the hidden button for the missile hatch and the missile hatch itself. Weighs 123 Grams.. Super Robot Chogokin Mazinger Z is 128 Grams Measures roughly 3.5" in diameter Comparison with the GX-04 Grendizer TFO With a 1:64 scale Hotwheels Batmobile. The missile hatch button's hidden. It's actually the center of the saucer. Fire missiles! Koji Kabuto My only real complaint is that this is missing a flight stand. Ah well. Gold

Ok UPDATE Gattiger Pre-production sample will be ready next week. I asked when the production will be ready and the reply was "after the Golden Week" ha ha I have no idea what that means.. it could be some kind of Japanese holiday.. he mentioned that the whole company was on vacation right now. They also announced a new product line, I couldn't talk about it before but it goes back to some the speeches I gave on "diversity" as being a key to surviving todays dynamic collectors market. HLPRO has entered an agreement with TAITO to also make collectables based on their classic hit video games. Most of it low cost high volume items like T-shirts, mugs and things like that . The details are on the Hlpro facebook www.facebook.com/HLPRODUCT?hc_location=timeline

Its too bad Taito has a TON of classic Retro games, and HLPro would possibly have a chance on making some money, but NOT with the list of stinkers they got. That list does NOT contain HITS by any meaning of teh word,Taito made Space Invaders,Double Dragon,Jungle Hunt,MR.Do and a slew of others, those games there are gonna be VERY hard sellers for any piece of merchandise even if it was made of Gold,Tom i think you shoudl inform HLPro the games on that list are NOT nostalgic 80s hits, they are clunkers.Maybe on ancient consoles, one or two were semi popular, but that is as far as it goes, they are forgotten now.
On the other hand, thanks for the Gattaiger update ,in my top 5 most anticipated toys this year.I think its gonna be a bIG winner for them!

I think that's just the first part of what they got planned.. give them some time. Video game stuff isn't my thing but I think they will end up doing well with that line..
I really didn't recognize any of that stuff either... but what they were talking about in a private conversation sounded real good.. lets just see what they do.

The only Taito game that I keep going back to is Puzzle Bubble. Oh, and the ladies, including the ones that are not into games, love it too. Also, thank you very much for the Gattaiger info. As I am patiently waiting for pre-orders to open. And Golden Week is a succession of Japanese national holidays that occur within the first week of May.

Evidently, that list is just the first deal that they made.. I don't have many details on whats going on but it could be that those were the deals that were fairly easy to agree on for the first round and that they are still negotiating.. we just have to wait and see what they do with this. But then again, this doesn't relate to Super Robots so I guess its kind of irrelevant to this thread. Do you guys want me to keep updating on the video game angle?

If you mean HLPro only items allowed here, that's never going to happen. BTW, the TFO Gold reviewed is from High Dream... which is pretty much HLPro. }D
