I got the trike and I like it.. I just wish it came out LATER in the line... Its the Grendizer equivalent of the "Pilder", its good to have, it just came too early I think.

I see it more of the equivalent to Koji Kabuto's motorcycle, totally irrelevant to the Robot. }D

I don't have a problem of them releasing it but it shouldn't have been part of the Metaltech line, just release it like they did the dam and TFO.

Yeah. It kind of took the momentum they had going out about their products. Then again, the long period of time between releases has not helped.

wonder if they ever considered making the ultra submarine?

Boss? Is that Boss Borot there? Hmmm... If they do make the Ultra Submarine, they'll have to first make a Grendizer figure with articulation to match. }D

I brought up Boss Borot to HLpro a few months back and they said it "wasn't time yet".. from what Ive seen them working on, HLpro is working on getting some "heavy hitters" out there. Out of respect for my friend at HLpro I keep my mouth shut about what is coming out. But I think its safe for me to say that what has been done so far in the Metaltech line has been "personal favorites" of HLpro. Were kind of "along for the ride" right now. The next Metaltech that is coming out is also a "personal favorite" but is a real good one. On par with Jin Jin in "fame" and its gonna have a high collectors value.. its a rare but excellent character. Its going to cost about the same as Giru Giru and its going to be heavy in diecast and paint.. its also "humanoid". The stuff that's coming out after that one on the list is equally weird and rare but in some ways more recognizable. Its all very collectable.. I think I can say that some of these are characters are kind of "risky", a collector will know what they are and will like them but Im not sure they would sell well enough in the mainstream for a company like Bandai to want to take the risk. The characters I saw were chosen with a mixture of "good thinking" and "big balls"...

I wouldn't consider myself along forthe ride with any company. I just buy what I want, not what a company wants to offer. Even if it is a giant like Bandai, if the stuff they put out is not interesting to me, I would not even give itthe time of day. Now, you mention risky characters. Well, if they are risky, why even do them for retail release? Just do like Bandai does with their exclusives and pre-sell the things! If they don't get enough pre-orders to support the cost of making the character and making a profit, then refund the pre-orders and cancel the release. I don't see the difficulty anywhere. So, they have to get a license for making the character... well sell the license to someone else or just take the loss and claim it on the taxes. Anyway, I am not along with any company's ride - EVER! }D

you take things too literally ..all these companies put out just whatever they want to put out at any given time... anything "Super Robot" is risky right now. Its a limited market. Big seller right now if you look at the numbers, are half-dressed statues of girls.. gigantic profits on those.. and when I mention "risk" don't think of "money".. the risk is always "time"... manufacturers only manufacture what distributors order. When its ordered its manufactured.. HLpro is a manufacturer, they do not retail., distributors order them from Hlpro and then the distributor sells them to retailers. HLPro only manufactures what the distributors order.

I agree with TMZ....I will never buy a figure just cause I like the company. I buy figures cause I WANT them.
I'll be honest here, the ONLY reason I buy from HLPro is cause they offer Grendizer stuff. So let's say they offer a cool risky figure from another series...I'll be like "oh nice..looks cool, but I'll pass though"... now that's just me...others may buy it. Keep in mind that HLPro main markets are: Europe and the Middle East, and since I'm originally from the Middle East, I can tell you that the dominant Super Robot there is Grendizer that people will buy with no question, but when it comes to other series then people will think twice about wether to buy or not.
I just hope they don't get carried away and try other things (now if they release 3-4 figures a year then be my guest), and forget about the main reason they still in business which is Grendizer products.

so far, almost everything Ive seen them working on is "related" to Grendizer in some way or another ..and is suitable for a "Grendizer" type collector.. so yeah, they know what you are talking about, but I wouldn't say that it is "limited to Grendizer." .. more like, "If you like Grendizer than you like this one too.." Hlpro are hardcore Grendizer fans, they know what other Grendizer fans will like. When you see it, you will understand what I mean.

Ah, but the Max Factory is a way different Mazinkaiser than the OVA Mazinkaiser, not only in design but in story line. It's like the Shin Getter Robot and the New Getter Robot, they are both the upgrade to the original Getters but they are different in most aspects. Different story lines as well. }D
