Finished Super Metroid on the SNES yesterday. I'm a handful of hours into The Answer, but I need to stop being a baby and running from 90% of the battles. I'm not sure what comes after that, probably finishing off Sakura Wars and then... maybe Blood Omen?
(51 games to go until 3DS)

Oh man. Don't remind me that I still have like five endings to play through in Sakura Wars I just picked up (finally!) the first SMT: Devil Summoner Game, thus completing my collection of post-PS1 Shin Megami Tensei Games. Sometime I need to work on that, but I've still got Hyperdimension Neptunia to get through, the PS3 versions of Bioshock 3 and Alpha Protocol I just picked up, and a good playthrough of Infamous that I'm about 2/3 of the way through... In handheld news, Radiant Historia is still proving to be one of the best RPGs I've played in a long while.

Oh man. Don't remind me that I still have like five endings to play through in Sakura Wars Crap. So much for knocking it out of the way quickly. In handheld news, Radiant Historia is still proving to be one of the best RPGs I've played in a long while. Really? This seems to be the consensus, but I finished it about a week ago (did everything except the last optional superboss) and found it disappointingly average and kind of bland across the board. Maybe I was just in the wrong mood or something, but the story never really surprised me and the only characters I semi-cared about were Aht and (for reasons unknown) Liese. Everything felt constrained and overly linear for the premise, too. And I was really looking forward to it too Maybe I need to play it again.

Playing Fate/Unlimited Codes for the PSP. Just so happened to have a $20 psn card on my acct so I picked it up for $9.99. It's not bad for the price, and glad I paid that instead of the original $30
All the characters except 2 are unlocked. Robust movelist....recommended!

Replaying Xenogears. It's still better than the Xenosaga series.

I'm currently playing Catherine. I'm reminded of my first playthrough of Viewtiful joe. "Easy? Pfffft. as if." <first level atempt> "JESUS @#)(*%^@#% ING CHR@#%(*YST WHAT THE @#!(%*^ ING HECK WHY IS THIS SO BLASTED @#(%*^@#% THAT DAMN HELICOPTER ARRRRRGH" .... I want to downgrade to "easy" mode, but I can't do so while I'm in the puzzle stages . Since I've burned so much time throwing myself against that brick wall, I'm really apprehensive about starting over, too

I finally ... finally got thru the 40 waves of Zombies in Plants vs. Zombies took me a long time. I'd get close and then disaster. So I looked it up. My set up was close. Once I saw the key to my design flaw. I got thru. It was still satisfying . Now back to Enslaved and Under garden.

Just finished the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy. It's been about 20 years since I last played them so it took a while to remember the enemy patterns.

I finally polished off Radiant Historia for the 3DS (in addition to beating Catherine, amazingly without destroying my PS3 controller in rage). Radiant Historia was great - I got the "almost best ending but not quite"-ending, and I'm looking to pick up the best ending today before shelving it completely.
Catherine, on the other hand, I did not like at all, and was a painful game to play. While I liked the core concept, the actual block puzzle gameplay violated my #1 rule for games which is that I have to actually enjoy them. I did not enjoy Catherine.

Damn! I was gonna ask if anybody here picked up Catherine. So it's a skip eh? I still haven't played that demo. Wondering if it's even worth it. I hate games where you have to play levels, like, 50 million times before you beat them.
Ah well, maybe I'll throw on that demo, but I kinda trust your impressions, quin.
On other efforts, been playing SSFIV Arcade Edition the last few days.

On other efforts, been playing SSFIV Arcade Edition the last few days. Definitely put in that demo. I know plenty of people who really liked the game, it's just not for everyone. The demo should give you an idea pretty quickly what side of the fence you fall on - just remember that the content in the demo had the difficulty heavily cranked down.
