Time to update my participation in this thread (if you haven't checked out my other posts!). I'm of course playing Street Fighter 4 a bit every evening (just enough until I get pissed off at poorly-balanced AI's like Abel or Seth; I mean come on, I can wipe the floor with everyone on Easiest except those guys... that must tell you something). Also Dawn of War 2 on PC (strictly campaign mode; I have no real desire to play skirmish mode for some reason). Finally, I also play Pain a little bit these days - it's a download-exclusive game on Playstation Network... and is freaking hilarious after you by the David Hasselhoff add-on character.
...If I can find it I'm looking for Prinny: Can I Really be the Hero? on PSP. It's not easy to find on store shelves even though it came out last week. Hmm...

I hope it gives me just as many nightmares as the fleshless dogs from RE4. I do not like Horror movies, but I like horror games. I haven't finished it yet, and yes, it's going to give you nightmares here and there. One of the best horror-games I've come across. ;D

I've read some pretty mixed reviews on Prinny. I'd be interested to hear what you think of it if you get it. Amazon has it in stock for $36.99 with free shipping: www.amazon.com/Prinny-Can-Really-Hero-Sony-PSP/dp/B001L8DKJ8/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1235429999&sr=8-1*Edit* That link is for Amazon US, the Canadian Amazon has a listing but the game is out of stock. I didn't pay attention to your location, sorry about that

I FINALLY finished all 301 missions in Final Fantasy Tactics A2 this morning. It was getting a little tedious towards the end, but for some reason I felt compelled to finish everything...

I'm about to finish Fallout 3, and just a bit of a tip for anyone who hasn't played it yet (whether PS3 or XboX), if you come across a schematic for a "Dartgun" make sure to make one or two of them buggers... it may seem like a very obscure weapon, but it's probably the most effective weapon you can have.
I don't care if it's people you shoot, Yao Guai, Mutant Behemoths, or even the dreaded Deathclaw, the dartgun will immediately disable their legs effectively slowing them down considerably, giving you enough distance to evade their attacks, and blow their heads off or the poison from the dartgun (which uses radscorpion venom) eventually kills them.
Enjoy!

I finally have some free time on my hands I just bought Prinny: can I be a hero (psp) -> I'm getting my butt handed to me. If you like oldschool side scrolling hack and slash this might be for you. But its so hard! but you do get 1000 lives. (to start the whole game). the difficulty arch jumps from the first level to the second and the third!
and Loco Roco2 (psp)

I've read some pretty mixed reviews on Prinny. I'd be interested to hear what you think of it if you get it. So I found it this weekend at a not-so local EBGames. It's... tremendously average. But its saving grace is that it feels like Disgaea. And it has the trademark humour and the voices you expect. You play as 1000 Prinnies (one at a time until they're all killed off) sent to Super-Mario your way through a selection of levels to collect items for Etna. I think it's meant to take place shortly before Disgaea (since I haven't run into Laharl and Etna seems to be in charge). Anyway, It's a little bit weird to control. Feels a bit like Castlevania - the jump is very unforgiving. You cannot change direction mid-jump (you must be pressing on the D-Pad before you hit the jump button. e.g.: you're in front of a cliff, hit jump and you will jump straight up instead of towards the cliff. So you need to back up and get a running start if you want to grab onto the ledge (which is, I suppose, the redeeming help you get - if you miss a jump and hit the edge of a platform, Prinny will automatically hang onto the edge until you press the D-pad again to make him climb the rest of the way). Not too difficult, but none too easy either.

Not too difficult, but none too easy either. How far did you get? man death comes pretty easy. But I guess it really isn't too much different from the classics. megaman, mario, ghost and goblins. 1000 lives mean nothing!!!! I've resorted to saving and reloading if my death per level gets insane. But the second boss (is madness. I think I sucked 20 lives easily) because of this game I'm hunting down Disgaea (I should have got it when It came out, instead I got final fantasy tactics. Disgaea seems impossible to find in stores.. I may have to resort to online purhcase. sigh)

If you can't find Disgaea on PS2, then grab it for PSP. "Afternoon of Darkness" is just a remake of "Hour of Darkness" so you don't miss anything. A second remake also appeared on DS. All three are actually the same game though. But yeah, even if you find it, it'll be the same damn price it was when it was new... the NIS America games are notorious for retaining their value even years after their release.

I actually am looking for it on PSP. I saw it on DS.. but since it has no freatures that make the ds anymore appealing. I rather have it for psp for screenspace. Yeah I was shocked how much the prices for the game (places I did find on ebay and amazon!!) damn it. OH well. I went cruising a few malls totally give up. going to have to rely on the "interweb" hahaha

I started up Xenosaga earlier in the week and I've poked at it for the last few days, only to become horribly bored and annoyed with the story and dialogue. To the bottom of the queue it goes. Shadow Hearts: Covenant is next...I'm going to try to finish it and go for P3:FES over spring break.

Playing God of War for the PS2. Has to be one of the best platformer beat'em ups ever made!

For all the recommendations I got on it, I just couldn't get into it at all. P3: FES will own you.

When playing a game makes you regret paying $7.99 for the sequel, there's definitely a problem. Shadow Hearts 2 (Covenant) is great so far. I started it yesterday and ended up playing 6+ hours of it... It's taking everything that was good about the first one and making it great. The combat system was pretty good before, but now I'm actually actively enjoying the random battles (!). I'm very impressed with it so far.

Noitu Love 2 It's an indie game made by this guy: konjak.org/I highly recommend people go and check out the demo. Fast moving, slick, sprite animated side scrolling goodness. The Zelda tech demo game is also really really well made and fun. Check that out, too.
