Hey guys, just wanted to start a discussion on the future of GFF. Seems like 00 region was a bomb but I would like them to release a couple more from this line. I am hoping they will release some of the unique ones that other lines are not releasing such as the Thrones, Astraea, Plutone, Kyrios Gust, Dynames Torpedo, and maybe a Stamen like GN arms or something. As for the regular line, I would like to see some Endless Waltz mechas like Heavyarms and Nataku. Also Wing Zero Custom. I think they should stop re releasing different color schemes or base designs such as the RX 782 and such. I dont understand why they arent releasing these other sweet mechas.

My personal taste runs towards the HCM Pro line (1/200 scale), so I'm not as well versed on the GFF figures as some other members here, but here's what I know- GFF stands for Gundam Fix Figuration, more commonly known simply as Gudnam Fix. It is a series of 1/144 scale pre-built/painted models, noted for their painstaking attention to detail and paint application. The line often features Mobile Suits from the fringe of the Gundam universe: Mechs from different side-stories and Manga series. They look great; I'd call them little plastic pieces of art.

i would buy hcm pros as they look great but their size always bugs me, that and the fact that they do not come with display stands

At this point, I only care about the GFF Metal Composite line when it comes to GFF.

Gundam Fix's future looks fairly secure as far as I can tell. With the new Kyoshiro Maniacs set, and another new set called "GFFN" coming up, as well as the Zeta chogokin I see no reason to worry about that set. I'd say the biggest problem that set has is that because it's produced by Katoki, that means it's pretty much his choice as to what gets made, if he doesn't like it that much then we probably won't see it. Hopefully there's more in store for us as far as 00 goes, but we'll see...

while there is some pretty cool 00 stuff there are tons of other gundams from the universe with awesome designs, so no need to rush. I am surprised no sazabi or nightengale has been done yet though

my biggest complaint is with all the re releases and variants instead of coming out with new suits. the new gffn is coming out with Z II which was already released. the zeta chogokin was already released as a regular gff. bandai needs to get their heads out of their asses and release some sweet suits.

tis true they are going crazy with the repaints and rereleases. thier are too many cool suits to keep rehashing the same ones over and over again. oh and they did alex once before and hes a pretty boring design if you ask me!

I've still yet to get any of the GFF Metal Composite offerings. I'd really love to pic up the those two versions of Psycho Gundam. Although the Zeta Plus is looking nice too!
How secure is the future of the GFF line it's hard for me to say personally. I would, of course, love to see it continue. I can't imagine our Hobby Japan magazine without that section in it. I would'nt be surprised to see the releases become more sparse over the next year or two though. Looks like we're starting to see this happen already with the focus on Metal Composite and the lack of steady Katoki inspired UC and AU spinoff series MS.
If I could talk to Bandai directly, I'd encourage them to get back to the 'Works of Katoki Hajime" books and designs and pull from that. Lets see some more of his work on 'Wing' and 'Victory'. Time will tell what Bandai will challenge themselves with next and what the market for the line looks like I guess.

hmm you really think they are slowing down? i dont see that happening. Gundam is like legendary in japan I dont see it dying down anytime soon. and bandai is going with thier damashii line now so i think there will be plenty down the road.
