Got a new camera for X-Mas, so I thought I should take some pics of the latest from Banpresto. I have been collecting these since release, and plan to continue as they release several more this coming year. Next up are some of the kaiju from the various series. Can't wait for those! Each figure stands in the 25-30cm/10-12inch range, depending on the pose. They have limited articulation, but are "playable" if you handle your toys. They are quite stable out of the box, and have adjustable feet so you can tweak the foot to stand solid. Arms and waist joints are here, but since they are in a somewhat fixed pose, it does not add much. Details are awesome. They stand up to some of my expensive large scale figures in fit and finish. Compared to the regular vinyls that cover the series, these are bigger and better. Enjoy! Ultraman A-Type - Ultraman that Returned (Jack) - Ultraseven - Ultraman Taro - Ultraman Leo - Ultraman Ace - Ultraman Mebius - Group shot - Just some of the upcoming in 2009: Zoffy Impereizer Gomora Garamon Baltan Windom King Joe King Joe Black

Recently picked up these KingJoe versions of the DX Banpresto figures. I posted them in the KingJoe thread, but thought I would add them to this post as they are certainly related. Last night I received 4 more of the series figures. I post pics later of them, but wanted to get a heads up about the latest arrivals. I wanted to warn anyone that may also be collecting this series that Banpresto (division of Bandai), has decided that scale is not something they care about. The latest figures in the series I received last night include Ultraman Type A, Baltan, Gomora and Pigmon/Garamon. 3 of these figures are not in scale with the others released. The Ultraman and Baltan are matched, slightly larger than standard Bandai vinyls, while the Gomora fits right in with the Bandai MM figures. The Pigmon/Garamon seems to be in scale with the other DX figures as he is slightly shorter than those, but appears to be scaled properly. While I am somewhat disappointed in the fact that scale is not being followed after purchasing 9 figures in this series previously, I am still impressed with the sculpts on these figures. I'll make sure to take some comparison shots so you can see for yourself about the scale. More later...

Let's see those comparison shots.
Ultraman Leo has always been my favorite Ultradude. Too cool.
I forget - what IS the scoop with the black King Joe? Was this actually in one of the shows?

I do not understand the fascination with making old-style ultraman. he looks sooooo.....fugly compared to his later version.

Because some of us grew up watching that fugly b@st@rd, and give a crap. All kidding aside, if you don't like the classics, don't buy em.

I just started getting these figures . they are well made and solid.
I now have : Ultraman , Taro , Jack , Seven , Zoffy , Mebius , and Mebius Burning Brave.
They are not very articulated really, but thats what the Ultra-Act Ultraman figures are for.
